Feeling loss of power

Hey guys, 2024 G80 m3, has 6700 miles. Ive been experiencing a little loss of power lately. Unless it's in my head, the engine feels like it's straining when im pressing on it. Engine isn't over heating, maintaining oil temps of around 205-217 max. No mods done to it, cars bone stock.

I did have an incident where i busted my oil cooler because i accidentally drove over roadkill, but that was 1500 miles ago and the car was driving perfectly when i got it back from the dealer.

Any suggestions, cars under warranty so will definitely be taking it to get checked out but was wondering if anyone else experienced this.

I would start by timing your 0-60, 30-90 , 60-120 times and make sure it isn't in your head. This always happens to me if I drive my fast car to mutch. That's why I have a normal daily. I get used to it to soon.

You’re going to need to provide more info on the problem. What mode you’re in when this happens, does it happen with and without traction control On, what RPM are you feeling it flatten out, etc.? How are your tires? Maybe you’ve eaten through them enough to cause some traction problems and the car is pulling back due to that. Any mods? Have you checked your intake filters? We need more info.

Most engines with a loss of oil pressure will suffer a catastrophic engine failure. It happens very quickly.

Did bmw ever borescope your cylinders by chance?

your car is under warranty, no harm in getting it checked by the dealership

No I don't believe they did. I shut the car off as soon as the warning came up. Do you think the engine may have taken damage?

Purchase a dragy if you dont already own one, and time some runs. 0-60, 1/4, 60-130.

You will easily be able to tell if the car is performing properly performance wise or not.
