Curious if this was resolved. I have noticed this vibration ever so slightly but at 85mph+ as well. Worst is around 94mph and gets a bit better 100+. Its subtle though. On uneven road you don’t really notice it. It’s not progressive like an unbalanced wheel. I have a service appointment coming up so will get wheel balancing done to check if that’s it…

I have exactly the same thing.
I have three sets of wheels and they all have vibrations.
You can't feel it on a bad road, but there are vibrations on the highway from 140 to 180km/h.
My brother have the same...

Just seen a few posts on here, apologies for the lack of updates, nothing has changed my end, BMW have had my car for 5 months now. The Prop shaft is being shipped to BMW next week and hopefully this will fix the car.

Just out of interest what year are the cars you all have the same issue with, mine is a 72 plate. The reason I ask it I had a rental car provided to me by BMW which was an M3 72 plate, it had the same problem as well, just not as bad as mine. I wondering if it was a issue on the production line of a part.

My car is 08.2023 my brother car is 04.2023 Europe.
This problem is only on x-Drive version.
I think it may be a problem with the front drive shafts.

How does the vibration feel? Can you feel it through the car, just through the steering wheel etc.?

I've had both drive shafts replaced and it didn't resolve the issues. It vibrates through the whole car, mainly feels central. It's so bad that the sun visor wobbles. I feel it through the steering, the pedals and my bum. Passengers feel it in the passenger side front and in the back of the car.

Replaced so far.

- Rear and front Diff
- Center Bearing
- Front and rear Drive shafts
- Transfer box
- Wheels
- Tyres
- 4 Wheel alignment been professionally done
- Wheel balancing multiple times.
- Tyres changed

I wonder if any rear wheel drive cars are experiencing the same vibration. We have tried turning the car to rear wheel drive on mine and still does it. I have a late 2022 M3 Xdrive.

Oh that’s too bad, it sounds like you have a lemon case on your hands or trade assist/buyback.

I do…a 2024.

I sometimes have a very slight vibration in the steering wheel but it’s usually after the car sits for a week or two and goes away after driving for a few minutes. (Assuming it’s from the tires after sitting) I haven’t experienced anything like you’re describing though.

Here in Ontario Canada if we go over 150kmh on the highway (50kmh over) it’s a $10,000 ticket, car impounding, license suspension etc. So needless to say I haven’t reached the speeds some have posted here on public roads.

(I have been over 200kmh though on the racetrack but never noticed vibrations at that time)

At a certain point i would think it would make more Financial sense for BMW to just voluntarily buyback the car or replace it. I would def go through lemon. Im currently in Lemon law for my 23 hellcat misfires that dodge cannot fix/find. Warranty has already spent 15k replacing shit

I think most or all xdrives have it, but many users don't drive that fast on the highway.
Vibrations can be felt only when driving steadily at a speed of 100-110 miles.
Yesterday I checked my friend's m3 xdrive and all 3 have this symptom.
It's definitely a flaw and shouldn't be like that.

My car is going in this week again

This time engine mounts are going to be replaced

Gearbox mounts also

They are going to follow a procedure to see if the drive shaft is balanced or not

They are going to check the rear diff also.

And we will continue from there

Just saw this thread. 23 G80cx. Hit a huge “bump” In the road caused by poor road work being done a few months back. Bubbled out two tires. Tire and wheel insurance paid off this time. Brought it in replaced the tires/wheels but had the “vibration” starting at 80 mph. So I brought it back and they eventually road forced balanced it which pretty much fixed the issue. Fast forward a few months and I put in my winter set and low and behold the vibration is back. I’m dealing with it for now praying it’s just a winter set issue. Not so sure though after reading this thread.

I don't get it man

We inspect the car from underneath. And we could not find any fault, nothing visible

Then my mechanic popped the hood put it in drive and pressed the pedal and the brake at the same time. The entire engine turn badly to the right hitting the cross bar on top. I even found marks on the plastic cover.

So as a hypothesis, beeing that the mounts are shot, they are going to change the gearbox mount( which was vibrating when you touched it , together with the right pipe of the exhaust ) and also check the drive shaft because of the misalignment of the engine.

Also the guys from bmw, told me that this has happened to them before with M cars ( 5,8, x3,4,5 ) with even less miles than mine

I will post again in a few days

Just sharing data point, mine regularly sees speeds up to ~150 mph and does not vibrate. Early 2022 build M4 CX.

I have the same problem here, 2023 G80 Xdrive. It's driving me nuts, at around 95mph the car starts vibrating. I've had an alignment done and balancing, and nothing changed, I had the tires changed to Toyo Proxes R888r and did another alignment and balancing, but I still have the same issue. I'm hoping someone finds a solution.
