I literally just spoke on the G80/82 platform being able to run a 10.6 and faster on stock turbos in another thread and look what happens the same week.. not bad!

JB4 custom tune

Could you imagine if this thing had a tire and a better 60"? Now imagine the AWD version..👀

Yeah I'm standing by my low 10 / 9 second pass on stock turbo claims all the way..😎

From extensive experience with AWD cars in the 10s and 11s, the xDrive will be quicker, but may sacrifice some trap speed. Its almost certain to get there, quicker, but at a lower trap speed.

What did you call? He had a passenger in the car. He can easily run 10.9 or even less after brake in service. What cars today can do that? Maybe a few.. None of what you have driven is remotely close to the G80 xdrive. We appreciate your input though. Also why is the trap speed so significant? Maybe I don't get it.. please explain.

It's funny how people who don't own the xdrive start giving us there input and basically talking smack. Nobody knows what this car is capable of, however from what we've seen it's probably going to go down as one of the best engines BMW has made.

I originally thought he said that as well. 1 passenger (Me) and a golf bag.

You dont need to know anything about the xDrive to understand 1/4 mile times. Every AWD car Ive ever driven, will get a lower 1/4 mile time, at the expense of a lower trap. Same thing if you deep stage a light. Better 1/4 mile, lower trap.

And I will tell you, as soon as I get mine.

Damn!

32mph gained on the back half… I'd say the 1/8 has a little better time.

Correct! As a former DSM / Evo man I can tell you it's in the blood 😂 when I talk track numbers with guys they look at me like I'm insane because most times I'm pretty accurate but it's not because I know rocket science it's just years of doing this shit.

Truth. After over 1,400 track passes, I've been jamming down the 1320, since 1991. The same always holds true. The AWD cars barrel out of the hole, but you lose some of that top, top end trap speed. From what I can see, here. We're losing at least 1-3mph, but 10.6 @132 is solid. My 92 GSX AWD had a built motor and a Buschur TD06-20G to get these times. But it was also just a tick under 3,000 pounds. Like 2,980. 1 race seat and a 3 gallon fuel cell, with full roll cage.

You are the man here so slightly off topic but ...

Im considering getting an AWD G80 and dumping my RWD. Stock vs Stock what car will run the better 60 to 130? Does the AWD suffer from parasitic loss and drivetrain drag? Will the rolling runs be noticeable with the RWD vs the AWD?

Today I sold my 2021 M4 Competition Coupe with 1,300 miles on the odometer. I liked the Dravit Grey but disliked the M Carbon Sport Seats.
I have ordered the 2022 M4 Competition Coupe x-Drive with the same Dravit Grey and again the Kyalami but with standard seats. A plus is that the new car is $2,000. less than the price I paid for my 2021; has the desirable x-drive, and has more comfortable seats (in my opinion).

Why would you dump your RWD car if you care so much about rolling races? That's not where the AWD shines or where does anything for you.

All AWD cars have more drivetrain losses because they have to spread the power between 4 wheels instead of 2.

I think the RWD will "slightly" edge out the AWD from all rolling speeds where traction is not a factor.
