Took delivery of G82 yesterday - limited first impressions from (ex) F82 owner
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I can't tell you all how nervous I was, letting my F82 Ruby Red/Ivory M4 Comp go and switching to something that has had such negative social media reviews.... But I should not have worried.... It is amazing. Utterly amazing and, for me, meets all my requirements. It is off to the body shop tomorrow for a ceramic coat so only done a very few miles but..... You can feel that this is a very quick car and significantly quicker than my outgoing one, which was no slouch. This is a much more refined ride but for me the biggest difference is the turn-in and tracking through a corner. I think a lot of this has to do with the chassis. Where as the front end of my F82 would have "danced" and "skipped" a little on a rough, tight corner; the G82 just grips and dives in with no movement at all. Just amazing... so stable and give you so much confidence. And.... I think it looks stunning. There is a great article on one of the other threads about why photos don't do this car justice... it is very true... Will get more pictures after the ceramic coating. This is from the detailers. They are part way through polishing and coating.... Last edited by parathon; 03-18-2021 at 03:48 AM.. Reason: Add some pictures part way through detailing |

congrats, stunning car. great color.
Those are the bi-color wheels, correct? (not the jet black version right?). They look great in pictures but I can't quite discern what is "bi-color" about them. Is it the entire face of the wheel is graphite and the inner is black? |

I had originally spec'd the all black 826 wheels but changed my mind. Very glad I did. I will try and take some pictures when it is back from the detailers.. |

Thanks.
SPY in person is a stunning colour. Yes it is not subtle, but in good daylight/sunlight it looks "smooth" (only word I can think of) and if it is duller light (we get a lot of that in the UK) it seems to have a very slight green tint. It was a bit of a leap of faith but I am really happy with it. The carbon also looks really good against the yellow. |

Saw one on Sunday with a full black interior. It made the tinted side windows really stand out for some reason. For me it was a little too dark and "black", not many of the details stood out.. The Yas interior will be epic... which wheels did you go for...?
