not the most scientific video and no instrumented times... but good on them for putting it together before carwow
if thomas didnt have initial wheelspin, looks like could've kept up with RS5.. carwow had a perfect launch got 3.66 sec to 60, RS5 is no faster than that. very impressive roll race domination for "503hp"

oh this was totally posted already lol sry mod pls delete mine in the video/photos section
it was subtle but i noticed thomas had some wheelspin off the line (you could kind of hear it) ... if it was a more perf launch car would've kept up with rs5 I think

The M3/4 with XDrive will easily walk away from their Competition. BMW of course understates their power figures so this isn't surprising

I mean isn't the M5 already quicker than the E63 and RS6, Competition or not? I know it destroys the RS6 so it's not going to be a surprise once there is a M3/M4 with xDrive to drag race.

Why did Chris Harris say in his M4 review that the Mercedes is 4 cylinder, why is everyone saying that? Its a V8 right?

4 Cylinder or not it's going to have 650 HP+. The AMG 4 Cylinder motors generate 400 HP+, with the electric motors generating 200 HP+ you are looking at a rocket ship. Mercedes didn't spend 10 years in F1 perfecting hybrid powertrains for nothing.

As much as I would love to say I don't care about 0-60 times, there is something to be said about knowing you can blow 99% off cars out of the water at a stop light.
Sure you could say why not buy a Tesla, but when you can get an internal combustion car, that handles like a champ, and can do 0-60 in less than 3.4s - it's just fun! I will bet that the M3/M4 AWD will do 0-60 in 3.2-3.3s s and with a little tune will drop below the 3s.

I don't think it's going to fail. It's still going to be competitive in the segment. The issue is the perception of having a hybrid 4-cylinder. That's it. I'm sure they took a little bit of their know-how from F1 and applied some of it to the next-gen C63, even if a little bit.

I think mercedes knows their customers better. For all the car euthusiasts who complian about the 4 cylinders are actually not the potential customers of a C63. I don't think the current V8 makes it fun to drive, and most people who go with C63 because they want a luxury sedan which can smoke other cars on the freeway and win a traffic light race. I am pretty sure the 4 cylinder will do it.

How about from one of those F80 owners who says G80 is a pig and probably not faster since 400 extra pounds, not as sharp, CH wasn't enthused, M5 wannabe etc etc lol. That would make for some good entertainment....
