Akrapovic G8X M3/M4 Exhaust Sound Clip

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Akrapovic posted a brief sound clip to their FB today:

https://fb.watch/6SG7_2gCvB/

Sounds promising and can definitely tell more of a difference in this versus stock, unlike the MPE vs stock videos we've seen/heard so far.

I wonder how this setup will compare in price to the MPE? Both appear to be set to be on the high end for sure.

Looks and sounds good so far. I'm looking forward to the finished product…and knowing the price tag!

Sounds great! I'm sure the price tag will be absurd since the mid pipes vendors are pricing are 2k LOL

Out of all the recent exhaust options I've heard, including dropping resonators, etc. that by far was the best sounding.

Yeah, I'm thinking it will come in at close to $10k. Just not sure of that $10k is with or WITHOUT installation…😬

What happened to the metal bridge between the tips? Guess they bagged that.

This sounds really good but in no way is it worth 10
Grand.

I was glad to see that little bridge between the tips gone as well.

I agree, $5k would be the sweet spot but I think that is a dream scenario. I'm thinking it will likely come in at $7-8k depending upon options available (CF tips, etc.) and then of course installation costs at a local shop. The M tax seems to be in full effect across the board from either the OEM side or 3rd party side this generation…although I'm sure the supply chain constraints and supply costs are playing a big factor in that as well.

First time M-owner, any idea if a bmw service center will install this in order to save the factory warranty?

Also, when do you guys think this will be available? The stock exhaust kind of blows…bought my first performance car that I've been dreaming of owning since I met the e92 and I'm wildly disappointed with the exhaust lol for Christ sake it's not even real!!

These are exactly my thoughts and I am coming from just a 440i with mppsk. And I even get the PPF/gpf. First thing I did was delete the PPF and then made the flaps open all the time after reading the excellent tutorial/guidance by AVM and Vetteflier. Check their thread in this section. It transformed the exhaust for me.

Sounds better than the MPE.
But is it $10K better than stock? Me thinks no.

It sounds good, but it's not $10k better than the stock exhaust to my ears.

Concur with everyone's thoughts here. To me it sounds exceptional to be honest.

Which is odd because I've never liked Akra exhausts. But the cost which will be closer to 10 rather then 5 … is why I'm out.

Wonder what DP's + Open Valve trick will sound like ? Had that combo along with a tune on my F82 , I personally loved it

What a shame, $8-10k to get an $80-100k car to sound half way decent. 🤬

I love it but the price is absolutely insane

For 10k it needs to include LCI front bumper
