Leave it on. No way I'm messing with that tmap sensor more than I have to. I left my RaceChip on for service too.

Do you have other mods? What happened at the dealership?

Leaving anything visually installed is just begging to be flagged.

Yes they did. Didn't say anything negative. Also Didn't comment on my intake or PSI midpipe. Did they possibly flag it internally without me knowing? Possibly. I don't think you'll be able to just remove it each time then bring it in for a blown motor or transmission and hope that no one will find out. I believe they will be able to tell even after one day of piggy back use and I don't intend on trying to defraud anyone. To each their own.

Yup. Tune at ur own risk. But they will also have to prove that that aftermarket part was the reason the engine blew up or transmission failed and etc. most aftermarket prods have there own warranty too. I think bms intakes & jb4 cover your engine if anything

BMS is definitely not going to cover an engine if anything happens and you're running a JB4. You may be thinking about the crazy expensive AC Schnitzer (sp?) tune

I heard running the JB4 in efficient mode has been the best for maps but I want the valves open.
From the F chassis platform but it should operate the same on the G8x

Exhaust Valve Mode:
'***************************************

Toggle between flap open, flap closed, and OEM operation, by pressing the button for 2 seconds and letting go. The left blinker will flash for valve open, right blinker for valve closed, and both blinkers for OEM operation. The valve setting is persistent and will remain in effect until you change it. If you hold the button too long you'll jump in to the in dash menu system below

I just got the wired connected for my JB4 and got it routed correctly(I also have Bluetooth). I tried to hold the BC button and nothing is happening. Do I need to turn it on in the app to have steering controls?

Bluetooth works and I can now see the RPMs but no steering wheel controls.

Talk about a prehistoric way to do things. Why would you want to access the tune that way? Forgot your phone at home?

Bought it so I can fully control the exhaust valves and have more tuning options.

Exhaust Flap Control:

Using the BC button you can change between open (left arrow), closed (right arrow), and OEM operation (both arrows).

It wasn't removed, it just never worked on the g8x. It works on the x3m.

Bummer😩 I've been trying to open the R44 in efficient so I don't get the map issues in S+

Looks like a fix for the boost spike mentioned earlier (and hopefully throttle closures if they are due to overly sensitive wastegate triggering load protections) are coming. Still not installed on the car but man am I impatiently waiting for spring.

Anyone know if an Auto tuning mode and no-lift shift is going to be a possibility for the G80?
I asked over on n54tech but it's been crickets….
