How can they justify the $40k markup though, I mean I get it if they up the engine to push 550hp etc but damn just cosmetics?

I didn't expect BMW to entirely redesign the physical aspects of the car when they chose to collaborate with Kith, so I can't say I'm disappointed in the same way you are. Besides, the G82 is already a pretty aggressive design, what else were you looking for?
I'm not looking for anything more, but this is literally nothing, its the same design just with tacky KITH all over the place, they've literally changed nothing for the better, and made it all much worse and tackier

side note, the frozen black color looks pretty good on the lines of the car. makes the aggressive styling of the body look tough. As far as the car goes, cool concept, good for that demo but for me the one thing that was a little much was the roof. Not a fan of that. The seats look awesome though. very pricey though but im sure it will sell

BMW individual allows you to do probably all of those colors, the markup is insane with minimal cosmetic changes, what were they thinking...

I'm not hating on the Collab aspect, but damn was this a boring Collab with absolutely no innovation. Its some unpopular streetswear brand combining their name with some M coloring and calling it exclusive... Do better BMW, there are way better brands to collab with who are actually in the luxury category and might actually make sense with BMW being one of the premium car brands...

Oh well, my 2 cents for what its worth

WTF is this? and WTF is Kith?

guessing this is some sort of Jersey shore buy? People will think you stole the car from some guy named Kith
I get limited edition releases with color variations and stuff but agree with others who are questioning the Kith logos replacing M logos, this really is just a huge billboard that YOU have to pay a ton of money for.

Should be a $20,000 discount to buy this, advertising credit

I do want to see photos of the buyers in these things though, that could explain a lot.

Wtf is Kith? SMH. Just sad. Seats aren't bad when you remove all the stupid embossing of some brand most the world have never heard of.

1. BMW M is a lifestyle brand and has been for a long while, bmw is now embracing it now to the chagrin of the hardcore traditionalists. Where once the consumers buying just for the badge were out of mainstream M, the tables have turned and now the consumers buying purely on performance spec are out of mainstream. That is not to say bmw is ignoring performance roots but they are unashamed to blend the two

2. Recognizing the above this collaboration makes alot of sense with where BMW is positioning the core Brand and M Sub brand as a hip, forward thinking, fashionable, luxury brand (I personally have no affection nor really know much about what kith style represents)

3. Only making 150 units, clear recognition that this collab is on the fashion fringe of the brand positioning, enough to get attention on social/press but I doubt anyone will ever actually see one on the road, destined for collection or some celebrity/influencers garage, will be a nice barrett-Jackson in 2050, X of 150

4. Official confirmation xdrive will be MY2022

I generally look down on hypebeast culture but this is hot. I dropped some money on the BMWxKith collab.

i dont understand what exactly KITH did to this car that no one else can? they literally did nothing different than a designer within BMW can do.

i hate these stupid collabs. zero value add. basically what happened was, someone high up at KITH wanted an M4 and wanted a way to add the logos all over the car, foolishly convinced someone at BMW to allow this to happen....and viola

Has anyone seen the BMW USA website marketing BS for this edition? Terms being thrown around are:

"EMBRACE AND EXPRESS POWER
The passion to be the best rises from within. So the interior of the BMW M4 Competition x Kith reflects a persona that never settles for second best."

"Designed to keep you in first place."

"Branded for the best of the best.
Additional marks of exclusivity are found in Kith monograms embossed in the headrest, armrest, center console, and door sills."

Appears that the targeted demographic is the insecure type.

The pre-order has already ended... 150 suckers.

This is one of the silliest things BMW has done. Kith clothing is also pretty played out.
