I had all m3's since e36. I sure as shit wont buy this crap, I don't care how fast it is, or how cheap they will try to sell it.
It's just straight fugly.

Kinda matches up well with the "artificial" noise.

Relax.

It's not the M3.

The M3 will not look like this.

Can't wait to get the G80 if it's remotely close to this, besides I'm more in love with what's under the bonnet anyways.

+1

Yea... didn't like big grills on Lexus (still ugly) or Audi (seem better now) and really don't like them on BMW - it isn't a Bentley. The future is pointing electric, but BMW enlarging the grills... seems like short-term style thinking, which isn't typical for BMW.

To those that are comparing people complaining about this new version to all the new releases before, I'm not buying it. People can debate whether an E46 M3 is or isn't better looking than the E92 or F80/82 but overall they are all beautiful cars with cohesive designs. This thing is a mashup of lines with a big eye sore of a grille. I remain hopeful that BMW does their magic and the actual M3/4 will have a cohesive design. Otherwise this may be the first generation that the regular 3 series looks better than the M version.

Don't worry, they won't sell it cheap. And while it resembles a mustang from some angles, the mustang looks infinitely better from all angles.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks hideous??

It would look so much better with 8-series style kidney grills.

So far best comment is crumpled paper. Just too many senseless shapes on the front bumper.

Exactly my thought! That rear three quarters view, if it didn't have a roundel, I would bet it was a new Lexus. Looks good for a Lexus, not what I want for a Bimmer though. Can't wait to see it in person tho.

Grill isn't terrible, but it still doesn't look aggressive to me and doesn't match the rest of the car. Looks too booshie and luxury car to be an M4.

There's no way of spinning that face as attractive.

Epic fail.

I love the concept 4 but this render, not so much. It has nothing to do with the grille but to me the Teutonic tightly sculpted lines of the concept is somewhat lost here resulting in a sloppier less well packaged car, looking like it’s carrying some extra lbs in less than optimal areas like an American coupe.

It could be the angles exaggerating these aspects and reflecting lightning McQueen features...the oversized slightly bulging headlights sure aren’t helping. I’m still more than excited over the 4 series reveal since I think it will be tighter IRL.
