One of the problems with smaller companies is quality control.

I hope everything gets worked out, it's a great sounding exhaust, but Valvetronic needs to work on a few issues with it.

I was just looking for this thread as well. Crazy that a post with helpful information showing the state of their exhaust completely rusted in a month and not willing to help the customer until the post was created got deleted.

I was looking forward to purchasing their full titanium version once I received my car. Guess I’ll be looking elsewhere.

Only choice is Akrapovic or MPE unfortunately, you get what you pay for it seems.

That’s weird I can’t find it or even search for it. But if you say it’s still on the mobile app I believe you. Is there an update to that situation?

You're not going to see much power gain unless you do DPs and run a tune. You'll marginally reduce back pressure with a catback, but the extra power won't be noticeable. Think of this as a sound/aesthetic upgrade.

+1

The power gains are noticeable on a 500 HP car. If you want power, there are better mods to get before this one.

This upgrade is primary for sound (which is much needed) and secondary for an improved look.

I recommend you check with Valvetronic directly.

Euro cars might have a different fitment because of the OPF sensors.

Does anyone have any opinions on the valve controller that comes with valvetronic exhaust? not sure I want to utilize the cigarette lighter power supply they provide but I do want to be able to have full control of my valves. Seems a little cheap to have to use a cigarette lighter to power the valve box, I haven't gotten my system yet or seen how anyone has installed this. But I have ordered other valved exhaust systems in the past and never seen anything like this.

AFAIK you can just use the OEM valve control.

*SYSTEMS ARE ON PREORDER AND SHIPPING IN THE NEXT 4-6 WEEKS AS WE WORK TO FULFILL ORDERS!*

Besides the quite strange grille setup, the G80 is a killer new M car, but like most, the sound is lacking. The Factory exhaust for the New G80 /G82 BMW M3/4 does not deliver the goods. We fix that with our single 3.5 inch mid-pipe. This mid-pipe incorporates an equal-length design that allows for a very enjoyable high pitch sound experience without having to modify your OEM rear section. This mid-pipe connects to OEM downpipes or free-flow front pipes if you choose to upgrade. It will not throw a check engine light and can be combined with any aftermarket axle-back. It's time for you to take control of your M3 or M4 sound experience with our mid-pipe. Never settle for anything but the best.

In addition to our mid-pipe, the system can be optioned with our Axleback for added sound and performance gains. Constructed a T304 stainless, this system utilizes our familiar quad chambered muffler design in order to offer a very flexible sound experience for the G80 M3 and M4. The system runs 2.75 inches all the way back and is optimized for the best flow characteristics to improve sound and improve power through the rev range. To finish off the system, a beautiful set of double-layered tips come standard.

It's time to take your sound experience to the next level on your G80. At Valvetronic Designs, we do not compromise. Neither should you.

Features of this Exhaust Upgrade

Constructed from T304 Stainless Steel
24.7 lbs Lighter [...]
I am still in the research phase but I’m leaning towards saying you guys have the best sounding exhaust at WOT. I like it a lot.

What does it matter unless you can’t keep the OEM exhaust. I admit I’ve never changed out my pipes… but is it that big of a deal to just swap to the OEM for the rest and then put the aftermarket back on?

Probably a few hundred bucks right?

It’s only once every few years right?
I had my car 4 years and never had to do anything in Idaho.

I realize I live in a better state than most, but I thought even Libby states gave you a few years in a new car.

Also… sad to say but after reading all the negative opinions it’ll be tough to order this. The company should speak up and comment about what happened there and if they’ve seen any other customers with similar problems.

I love the sound, but…
