I don't think so. Big power to weight advantage and double wishbones up front on the C7Z.
With same tires the C7Z should still be a significantly faster car but the G8X is ridiculous and doesn't overheat. |

In a track that depends a lot on straight line acceleration, in optimal conditions, like not having to deal with decaying performance lap after lap, overheating, brake fade, even a Model S Plaid with some track mods, can be faster than a BMW or Vette. |

Here's the second fastest lap I had during my second session where my GoPro worked. I only got three sessions in so didn't get to experiment much. 4WD DSC On, everything on Sport (Engine, Steering, Brake, Suspension) worked the best for me. I expected Comfort steering to be the best on track like on the F82 but it wasn't, too much precision loss. The only settings I plan on testing out will be 4WD Sport with DSC off and possibly running Sport Plus on dampers - everything else is money. Factory. I think it's around -2 which isn't enough. My front left is pretty beat up. Camber plate install got interrupted by a failed part so I had to reinstall the factory top hats. I only managed to adjust my front tie-rods to get 1/16" toe-in on the front which was around 0" with me in the car. |

Yeah, I ran a 2:20 my first time at Sebring with my 7 speed C7Z on Hoosier A7s. It was capable of much more - the car was new for me and I was holding it back but it's a terrifying car at the limit as I found out at Watkins Glen when I wrecked it. I was making almost 600 ft-lbs at the wheels when I dynod it.

Love my 2023 M4 but it’s not as fast on track by a good amount. 120 flat vs 116 at Roebling Road even w M4 being a mph faster down the straight.
Now every other aspect I take my M4 every day |

At basically the same weight with less power, this isn’t surprising. BMW used steel doors instead of aluminum. The factory wheels are heavy cast wheels. I’m wondering how a set of track wheels and tune will do, and if the 2025 benefits noticeably from its 20hp bump. I just ordered one, so I’ll find out in 3 months!

New PB 1.34:55 at Barber Motorsport Park had a high 1.33s but traffic was not permitting.
BMW M3CS (Millway Camber plates, stainless steel brake lines, motul racing fluid, AA Catted DP, AA single midpipe, cobalt friction brake pads) ran Hoosier TAP 285/35/19 square. |

Laguna Seca
1.39.12 —vrships -- 2025 M4C 4WD —ZF8 — stock iron brakes and PZ4 and stock fluid Driven with DSC off / 4WD best lap Rear pads sensor triggered after about 8 session (56 laps) Tires seem still OK for even one more day? Enough power whenever you need. The car struggles mid corners with no oversteer and a slight under steer, and the tires squeak almost all the time. In-session MPG is around 4.5 ( including entering-tracking-warm down) Last edited by vrships; 12-03-2024 at 12:49 PM.. |

Sebring - 2:20.35 - BMW M3 CS - CSG C1X brake pads F&R, EBC brake rotors, Motul 700, Milway camber plate, Titan 7 TP-10 19x11 square, 285/35/19 Bridgestone RE 71RS, PhD Racing Lvl2 handling kit (no coilover), track oriented alignment (enabled by PhD/SPL parts).
Those laps in the video are the very first ones in the day, right after the inlap. Tire pressure was still too high and I was struggling with a very loose rear. I adjusted pressure in the following sessions and the car was perfect. But I had passengers and couldn't get a single clean lap. |

Big Willow
1:31.70 - m4ml- M4 - xDrive - (Yoko AD09s on Apex VS-5RS, Girodiscs with Pagid RSL-29s, KW V4, Millway camber plates, SPL Rear (some front), Carbahn Stage 2) This is a sub-30 car for sure. There's a lot of room for improvements in turns 1, 4/5/6, and 9 that will surely shave off seconds. There are several tenths to be had in all of the other corners. Going into 8 at 141 is interesting to say the least. Overall, pretty satisfied with my first time at Big Willow. Ignore the brake and throttle display, as well as the inverted steering wheel, I'm still configuring the Aim Solo 2 DL and I unfortunately chose the wrong signals from the ECU.
