The side by side pictures remind me of how on day 1 of the F80 launch I knew I had to have one! Not the case with the G80. |

Its a fun car, but won't be a classic imo, but thats my reasoning why it won't be a classic. |

LOL. That's cute, hun. The entire F lineup of M cars will go down as a low point in BMW history. The departure from NA, hydraulic steering, anything remotely good sounding, etc with each successive model building and improving on this new formula. Bless!

Oh hey look, someone let the E92 brigade in. Don't you guys have some rod bearings or throttle valve actuators to change?
BTW, the M3 lineage goes like this: E30 good, E36 bad, E46 good, E92 bad, F80 good, G80 really baaaaaad |

The LCI F8x does not look dated lol, especially when equipped with adaptive headlights... my LCI E92 barely looks dated.....besides if the G8x is what the future looks like then idk

I unloaded my 2015 F80 DCT late last year. While I enjoyed much of what the car provided, every time I went near a magazine or car website I was inundated with opinions and reviews trying to convince me that I owned the worst M car ever, and that the G series would finally restore honor to the badge. Mine had a ton of electrical issues that BMW was never able to solve, and when the warranty expired I drove it straight to a Tesla dealership and drove home in a 2020 Model 3 performance.
I wondered if the G series M would make me regret my decision. It's pretty clear I made the correct choice. |
