Not saying it doesn't work and on a coupe it doesn't look so off. I just don't like the way it looks on the sedan body. Performance difference for 99% of drivers would not be noticeable.

Another perhaps even simpler solution would be to black out parts of the lower portion of the bumper to make the lower part of the grill look like a more conventional intake. In fact, once pictures of the production car are available, I'll bet we see people create some mockups of different ideas. In any case, we're not talking about a difficult modification. Its really just changing the shape and appearance of a hole in the front of the car. Like I say, if there is demand, the aftermarket will address it. |

It doesn't look as bad on a slender 2 door coupé such as the M4, but an executive saloon or a boxy SUV are just designed to look best with same diameter front and rear wheels. 👎 Last edited by advantage20; 11-14-2019 at 12:48 PM.. |

Love the wheels, looks like they improved the exhaust over Fxx models. Less saggy. It 's a shame under the bonnet just an ocean of plastics. Simular like X3M
With those super sporty bucket seats we've seen in the past. Should be killer

Front seems very high. Four finger gap. That is a big loose area of 4 fingers.
Wheels seem to look ok. Weird how front is concave. It looks the wheel combo is not the best option for it. |

Even the black grilles would be hidden with a dark color choice, go look at a black Audi, you don’t even notice the grilles and they are ginormous. Cosmetics can be addressed in many ways, IMO. The fact that BMW is making a 6MT sedan with bucket-seats and four doors >>> Any cosmetic issues. |

I know I am part of a minority here, but I do not dislike the bigger grill. It sets the car apart from anything else on the road.
What I donot understand is that huge ACC radar in the middle of the vertical grill. That looks so out of place.

Misleading article suggests the production M3 front end has been leaked. It hasn't.
A certain front end, most probably the M4, has been self-evidently leaked, it's pure speculation as to whether it's the M3. I can't see any link between the front end link and the automatic assumption that it's the M3? Have I missed something ? Someone enlighten me :-)

So your only argument is that a larger pair of rear wheels just makes a car look better no matter what type of body style the vehicle is (coupé, sedan, mid-engine hypercar, high, low, rectangular/shoebox shaped or swept forward/back, boxy or slender...). This denies the single most important principle of aesthetics which is harmonious proportions, and yet pointing that out somehow makes it a personal problem? But hey, feel free to put 16" front / 21" rear on a body that's been designed for a perfectly balanced profile, I'm sure you'll love the planted look
