NYG is right. The new M3/M4 is so pathetic it is funny. The cars are too ugly and too big! Because they are too big, they are also too slow!

Well I know when I want to downshift and there is nothing because I don't have that extra rpm, it is gonna annoy the shit out of me.

I will be surprised if this is not the best selling M3/4 generation ever (like every generation before it). I think people will get over the looks, and the AWD alone will be a huge selling point to folks looking for a one-car solution.

Even better than the leaks! This car is going to be so nice 'in the flesh'. Can't wait to test drive and get one in the garage!

I can understand the G82 has a faster lap, but I would really be surprised when it pushes the limits to another level. It will be less than the +60bhp is making us believe. |

I am more interested to see the eventual comparison tests between this and a Corvette C8, a Camaro SS 1LE, Mustang GT350 and of course the usual German competition (RS5, C63). |

I think the M3/M4 will be a 2.7s capable car and a mid 10s car . Say what you will about the looks, but even with the weight increase, net net performance wise my money is on the newer car which is stating the obvious... Quote:
The GTR is super outdated at this point. The closest competition price at the performance really is the Cayman GTS, Supra, Jaguar Type F, RS5, TTRS, C43, C63, and maybe most importantly, the C8. |

Why anyone would add boost to an all wheel drive monster like this and jeopardize warranty is beyond me. Unless your going for quarter mile times. I know many will do it tho and I'm ok with that.

I said the M4 didn't live up to my expectations as much as the M3 did... I take it back. The M4 actually has some promise after seeing more pics.
I still think the grille was poorly executed. Also I've said this before, but those side skirts are very E92-esque and I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

This car is a abomination.
MUCH heavier, no DCT, barely any faster, WAY uglier, & more expensive? To anyone buying this car.... are you mad? |

The E65 7 Series was ridiculed at launch, no one liked the flame surfacing and the Bangle butt. In addition, it was also plagued with first year electronics problems (first version of iDrive). Yet BMW sold more E65s than the E38s over their respective lifecycles. If nothing else, the additional Touring variant will help take some sales away from the RS4 Avant in Europe/Asia. |

I'm laughing to tears at some of the folks defending this. Did you guys shelter yourself off from the car world the last 5 years? If you like how this car looks then get the 340/440. You're wasting money on a dead M brand.

Hopefully, they will be offered as a stand-alone option, as the promotional video shows the Carbon buckets as part of the Track/Carbon package which includes the CCB brakes. That would be a $15000+ package in BMW money.

For the most part people voted when they felt it was the right time. And I have no problem if the holdouts want to continue to hold out until they really know - see it in person etc |
