Definitely no reason to ever have dealer frames or the dealer decal on your trunk. Almost as bad as going frameless.

Never minded dealer frames on previous cars, but never accepted decals. It was fun when I switched dealers when purchasing my previous car but still serviced it at the one I've been with for the past 22 years. Everyone knew when my car was in for service lol.

Got my "winter" tires mounted today. Couldn't decide on winter wheels and the only true winter tire available for the OEM 826s was out of stock, so I went with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+. This car will not see snow, so a UHP all season probably makes more sense than a snow tire here in the Mid-Atlantic. Now to figure out which summer wheels to order for next year...

Can you post link to the one you got. I like it how it's off the side and that's how I would have liked to mount it

It appears that KW retains the stock ride, which is a plus IMO. I know the KW HAS involves removing the front shocks, but $1200 is way too much for an install. I'll probably do the fronts at home and look for a place to rent a lift for about an hour or two to do the rears. I appreciate you offering to help though! |

Fronts can be done on jack stands but the rear needs enough ground clearance for leverage to undo the bolts. I need to find a DIY shop or invest in a Quickjack. |

Installed AST springs in my garage. Was very happy that even though it took a really long time, no damage was done. I then subsequently went for a test drive, pulled in the garage and didn't put the ebrake on. The car slowly rolled backwards and hit the garage door. D'oh!!

It was done in less than 2 hours and he installed my front color coded side markers included at that price! This guy does a tonne of BMW suspension work so was very familiar with the kits and process from previous work |
