That's gorgeous. I should open my hood every once in a while just to take a gander at the engine...the lack of dipsticks has really made opening the hood a bit rare for me.

Snowed today, and too damn cold to wash. I refuse to take it through an automated car wash.

Definitely no reason to ever have dealer frames or the dealer decal on your trunk. Almost as bad as going frameless.

Never minded dealer frames on previous cars, but never accepted decals. It was fun when I switched dealers when purchasing my previous car but still serviced it at the one I've been with for the past 22 years. Everyone knew when my car was in for service lol.

Got my "winter" tires mounted today. Couldn't decide on winter wheels and the only true winter tire available for the OEM 826s was out of stock, so I went with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+. This car will not see snow, so a UHP all season probably makes more sense than a snow tire here in the Mid-Atlantic. Now to figure out which summer wheels to order for next year...

Would definitely choose these over the other common rims for winters - much more sporty and fit the car better

Can you post link to the one you got. I like it how it's off the side and that's how I would have liked to mount it

Nice! How do you like the KW HAS?
I definitely need some lowering springs or HAS on my 4x4 M4.
Still contemplating what to get, but the ease of installation makes me steer towards the MSS or H&R.
What shop did you bring it to, and how much are they charging?
KWs are great and don't change the characteristics of the car much, if any. I got several quotes for install from $700 to $1200, and then $100 to $200 for alignment. I got it done at Solo Motorsports in John's Creek. If you want to get something done there let me know I'll hook you up.

Thanks for the input.
It appears that KW retains the stock ride, which is a plus IMO.
I know the KW HAS involves removing the front shocks, but $1200 is way too much for an install.
I'll probably do the fronts at home and look for a place to rent a lift for about an hour or two to do the rears.
I appreciate you offering to help though!

I paid about $850 for the work and that includes 1 height adjustment. I didn't want to pay that much but after I saw them work 6+ hours on it I felt it was fair. If you can DIY it's great man go for it. Just make sure you have a lift as I don't think it's reasonable to do the job on jacks & jack stands.

Yeah, that's not too bad for a KW install.
Fronts can be done on jack stands but the rear needs enough ground clearance for leverage to undo the bolts.
I need to find a DIY shop or invest in a Quickjack.

Installed AST springs in my garage. Was very happy that even though it took a really long time, no damage was done. I then subsequently went for a test drive, pulled in the garage and didn't put the ebrake on. The car slowly rolled backwards and hit the garage door. D'oh!!

Been there, done that. Except the garage door was open and my GT350 rolled down the driveway towards the street.

I got the MSS installed for $240
It was done in less than 2 hours and he installed my front color coded side markers included at that price!

This guy does a tonne of BMW suspension work so was very familiar with the kits and process from previous work

Holy cow man that must've been a favor but great price nonetheless! I called the shop that did H&R on my 335i almost 8 years ago (for $350 i.e. 3.5 hours I think at the time) and they wanted $800 i.e. 6 hours for the KW HAS. Some said the no. of hours per the book is actually 10 hours labor.

I was expecting $500-600 and nobody wanted my business.
