I also got mine today! Fast shipping from China! Overall, I think for the price it was worth trying something different.

This is the 3” version of the “equal length” resonated x-pipe. The welds look good and I would say it’s not sloppy by all means. I will say that fitment might be tight where one of the clamps is close to the adjacent pipe, which could potentially cause rattling. This isn’t CSZ’s fault as I asked for the 3” diameter. Time will tell when I get this installed, which will be around Spring time. Sorry for the tease if you are looking forward to sound clips.

Got mine today too. It is not a piece of art to look at, but is 100% functional. Welds are okay, all pipes fit each other nicely, packaging was good, no damage. No dicy 2.5" reductions, inside of the pipes, and inside of the X looks good. Much better than dropshipped and more expensive the single midpipe that I had before. Resonators are tiny but there is enough for bigger if I will need to. Flanges to connect to downpipes are not OEM-like: inside taper is much smaller, but I have two new donut gaskets so should not be a problem.

Hmm are you sure those are resonators? It just looks like a regular pipe.

They are, inside they look like resonators, and they are bigger than pipe itself, just not much

I have to admit this sounds about 90% as good as an AA resonated EL for 1/5 of the price. Bang for buck definitely has to go to this

Interesting - Sleeper's post above clearly has resonators that are visible from outside.

Sleeper's pipe also has the X in a different location than mine and some of the others.

His pipe is 3" also so completely custom, makes sense that it is all different. Mine is 2.75" so it looks like they took standard non-res version and just added these two slim bullets. Here are better pics, they are def. perforated inside, however very slim, outside look like just a 3" pipe welded to 2.75" pipe. I have very little trust in their "resonating" abilities, a bit disappointed with that. However we will see if maybe that is enough with my AA DPs.

Anyone else here ordered resonated 2.75"? Would be interesting to compare.

Edit: installing today. It is snow today so maximum I will be able to do is revving dirty car in parking lot haha.

Yeah well… there is something wrong, cold start is extremely ear splittingly… raspy I guess? Guy who installed it said that there is something small loose in my axleback, but I am not sure if even a nut or a washer that got there somehow would cause this. Don’t have any audio clips of revs because car refused to open valves in freezing weather, but it is on raspy side as well. For clarity I have AA downpipes.

Go back to stock dp's would be my recommendation, doesn't seem like anyones having luck with sound without stock dp's.

Unfortunate my stock dps are temporary inaccessible. Honestly, I am very surprised. Firstly, there is not supposed to be big difference between stock and gesi cats to begin with. It was very very mild sound bump with the rest of the system stock. Secondly, apart from the cold start, that sounds like back box is just going to fall apart, it sounds the same if not even quiter than stock midpipe with valves closed. With valves open it is on a raspier side sure, but that is what I was going for, not boomy/drony. Burbles sound like shit thought, so even if cold start was not the issue, valve controller is a must.

Mine arrived yesterday and is going on tomorrow. I have a feeling I'll be throwing on the stock downpipes in a week I'll have my DJI Action 3 + RODE VideoMic Go II ready for the drive home tomorrow. Given it's significantly cold outside and I'm on winters, there probably won't be much room/ability to go WOT but I should be able to throw something together real quick. I'm also debating on just putting on the stock downpipes alongside the midpipe tomorrow.. meh.

I think I'll be the guinea pig here for everyone and future people and just try it with the catless downpipes. I'm sure it'll be absurdly loud but at least someone will have done it with some video evidence to not do it.

I would just put the stock dp on at the same time, already 2 people had aftermarket dp's and it doesn't sound good with them.

You have the sst controller? Can you do 25 or 50% open?

Received my midpipe yesterday. I’ll post some clips once I have it installed in the next week or two. It will be all stock minus a Dahler Valve Controller.

Update: I had more time today to drive/listen inside and outside, what I thought yesterday was rasp now I think is some kind of very loud rattle, somewhere in the back section. Most noticeable on cold start, but can be heard during normal driving as well, with valves closed and open. Outside of this rattle issue I am really liking the sound.

Cold start rattle, first couple of secs of cold start are ok and then it starts at around 0:17s mark
View post on imgur.com

Rattle when accelerating with valves open
View post on imgur.com

Rattle when it upshifts from 2 to 3rd driving slowly with valves closed, faint but it is there
View post on imgur.com

Apart from this rattle I really like how it sounds. I did not like single midpipe sound at all, this sounds very different, so if you like single midpipe sound - look away. Very similar to forcefed maybe a touch more raspy at higher revs, but not bad/annoying and can definitely be tamed with better resonators if needed.

Interior sound. First and second vids are under ramp so there is some echo.

Vid quality is not the best, I don't have any fancy equipment. And I couldn't make any outside vids/revs yet.

Unfortunately rattle, or whatever that is, is a real deal breaker, especially cold start. I will be going back to shop who did the installation to recheck it (btw forcefed it is the shop that you recommended, who installed yours) but the guy said that it comes from inside the muffler. I am all ears if anyone has any ideas.

Edit: found a video of someone with AA EL midpipe with exactly same rattle
, was there ever a fix to this?

Shaninnik there's no fix for that, it's a combination of resonance from the midpipe and in your case the downpipes that causes that rattle. Since I'm on the stock downpipe I don't have that rattle upon startup.
The aa el does that even with the stock downpipes unlike the csz one.

I am sad. It looks like AA was able to fix that in their V2 version with resonators. I am sure that two resonators that CSZ mid came with are useless...trying to make a decision if it is worth trying to add two proper resonators before X or just go back to stock mid until I have access to my OEM downpipes back and then re-evaluate. S58 exhaust makes me so sad.
