Your car should be assigned the next carrier since it didn't make it on the ship that left yesterday.

I would take the word "SHOULD" very loosely. Its at the very least one step closer to arriving.

The list of codes I was given states that 190 = dispatched from factory (the train journey I presume) and 193 = at port.

With the lack of status changes I've had on this build, it wouldn't surprise me if I get a random call saying 'it's here'.

I'm pretty sure we jump on the same ships as you US guys. A lot of the RORO ships we talk about on these threads have a stop at Southampton before carrying on to the US.

I was talking with my CA about a CSL and he told me that the G82C I ordered still has not made it onto a boat yet. I would have been institutionalized over this if I hadn't found my car.

I changed to at port today. Like you I was in quality control for 4 months, and sat in ACA for over two months. Per BMW NA rep I’ve been told my car might be at dealership by 06/24. He mentioned that date could change but I will take it. Some news is better than no news. Also stated the car will travel on Horizon highway vessel to Galveston Texas. I’m so excited. Car was built 11/2021. Hooray for both of us!

That sounds so great! You might want to reach out to bmw North America to get more info. I find that genius really doesn’t know very much when I call. I’ve been dealing with a rep at bmw North America and I feel I receive more accurate information. I started out sending questions on messenger and then I was assigned to a specific person to handle my case. I prefer speaking to this entity.

So my sorry story: Found an allocation and placed deposit on 1/27 for a week 8 build status 111 M4Cx. Rode the 111,112,105,111,112,150 roller coaster. With only four different build weeks I am apparently luckier than many.

Have been stuck at 155 (Quality Check) now for a solid week; a stage that is usually cleared in 1-2 hours. On a $US$100k, 180 mph car the last thing I am going to accept is a lemon.

I suppose I will ride this out a little longer, just so I have a BMW wasted 6 months of my life cocktail party story. I passed on a showroom floor Nissan GTR to get here. Stupid me. The fact that there is a thread like this that is 50+ pages deep speaks volumes.

If you look back though the thread, you'll see that some of us were stuck in QC for a long time. My order was in QC from 11/11 through 3/17. That car is still at port waiting for a ship, though I moved on and bought one that was already in the US. I hope you move through fairly rapidly, and your car exits QC soon.

Sorry to hear this! But one week at quality check is really not bad. I was at quality check for four months. I am finally at port and my car was produced 11/21. I’m expecting it next month possibly. I hope you get moving soon as I know the wait seems like forever. I can appreciate your “sorry story”. Good luck!

I believe you were in the same week of production as my car. My car produced 11/21 and in quality for 4 months. I’m at port finally and have a ship name for the voyage. I’m to expect it possibly 6/24/22. I placed my order 9/21. 9 months for a car! Crazy times. I saw you got a car earlier, good for you! I will be so glad for this to be over.

You and me could be the last two cars produced in November 2021 that are left at the port. Hopefully the port is the last of the BMW infernos.
