Not really a mod to the car….

But I picked up this suede key cover on Etsy. Fits good and it looks cool!

I’m a dork I know but I’m a sucker for alcantara/suede.

Got a carbon fiber case from Autotechnic. I wish BMW made something unique for M series.

I just received this key fob cover; not real CF but it looks decent. Snaps onto the fob and covers every bit of it.

I have this exact key cover as well and love it…they make it in red CF as well, but too bright/loud for my tastes….I also have the ///M key chain from BMW:

Can you post some pics with your key in it? Also, does it snap on to the existing cover or does it replaces it?

What I did in my m3 was discover that Apple Maps show up in the hud when giving driving directions!

Google maps doesn't.

Obviously bmw does and it conveys more info than Apple.

But, Apple Maps showing up in the Bmw hud is cool and now has me conflicted about whether to use the bmw nav or Apple nav with the hud.

So doesn't Waze!! I used to only use Apple Maps until I started using Waze about two weeks ago….not only does it show up on the screen while using Apple Care Play, the directions show up on the HUD/main screen between speedo and tach!

Sorry forgot to take pictures; if I remember to tomorrow I'll post them.

It's a two piece cover that snaps together over the entire key.

Got a few pieces of carbon put on. I went with a Stradale designs lip while I wait for the mperf lip (the car needed a lip but I dont love this one). Also put on a cf rear diffuser I got from alibaba. I was pleasantly surprised with the fitment.

I discovered that a G80 M4 is similar in size to an F10 5 series. My old car cover fits pretty well...

I've read car covers are no good for the paint. You may end up putting in scratches from the dirt and debris that gets trapped underneath the covers.

Yes, you are spot on. Unless the car is completely clean any dust/sand etc will be dragged across the paintwork. Sometimes it even stays in your cover to get you next time.

My solution is a complete PPF wrap on the car. That way it might scratch the PPF but it is self healing anyway. Unfortunately my car is always exposed to the elements so this definitely saves on the number of washes. It is a PITA taking it on and off though!

That's what I was imagining, shouldn't be a big deal if your car is fully PPF'd. My car will be garage kept but I'm still doing an entire PPF on my car, I'm too anal.

That is exactly how I had mine until two days ago and replaced the ///M chain with something different. My car is getting PPF and ceramic, so I don't have my keys but when I get them back, I'll share what I have. I love your set up, and my new one.
