Yes, you buy the kit with standard boards and heatsinks then swap out the boards with your yellow led boards. Then you can have the spare standard DRL boards, plus your original DRL boards in their own heatsinks untouch.

I think I was the first one did that many moons ago.

I dont know this seller particularly. There are many of them on the site. All you need is just for the heatsinks anyway and I would doubt anything could go wrong with the heatsinks ?, assume you already have the yellow DRL boards.

They are totally BA. And at least easier to install than the F90 ones. Sweet thread Terry YasPlz_G83 - you're a trend setter!

We only Tested the Upper one on my car and the LEDs were going on off on Both Rings of the headlight . We will now try to swap both Modules on a site to See if they work without Coding ( i dont think so )
Im already in contact with paddleshifterz for the Order of a csl Set

Here are the pictures of the csl Module with 4 LEDs and a comparison with my oem Module

The Strange thing is That my local dealer gets with the csl vin only the Same Part Numbers of the Modules like my Modules have .
I Hope paddleshifterz can Order the Right ones
Hey do you have any update regarding getting the csl module?
I need the oem csl module otherwise as always in Germany I will get problems with the cops and tuv inspection. -.-

Easy install with IND instructions, but recommend that you purchase the ICON 35-piece Locking Flex Head Ratchet and Bit Set from Harbor Freight or something similar in order to get to the top screw of the heat sink under the wheel well. It's a tight space. I think the BMWDIYGuy on YT also modified a small ratchet to work with a T-20 bit. Also, the description on IND and AutoTecknic websites states there is a peel-off backing on the chips that exposes pre-applied thermal adhesive. This was not my experience and I received a tube of thermal paste to apply instead. I used 3M auto mounting tape instead and that works just fine with no cure time and is less permanent if you want to switch back at some point.
Where did you purchase? All Motorsport+ kits from IND come with pre-applied thermal adhesive.

The top torx screw on the G80 is a bit harder to access than the G82.

With the thermal glue/paste you definitely need to let it dry overnight before reinstalling the heat sinks.

For what it's worth I only let the adhesive dry for 4 hours but that was enough. Soylent is right, overnight would be ideal but I'm impatient and went for the min provided in the instructions.

Me too. But my OCD would over power my impatience on this one.

Id be so worried they "lifted" or something...

So when is V2 versions coming out with heat sinks included? That would be a much better and easier selling solution if you ask me.

Purchased from Auto Technic as you were out of stock at the time and they included a tube of thermal paste instead of the pre-applied product.

If it didn't come in Motorsport+ packaging and with pre-applied thermal adhesive, it was not a Motorsport+ product. If you purchased the DRL kit advertised as Motorsport+ and it did not come with pre-applied adhesive, please contact our support team so we can resolve this issue with the dealer.

Have installed probably 20 Motorsport+ kits and the pre-applied thermal adhesive makes it so easy. Just clean the old heatsink, give it a firm push on and then leave the DRLS on to warm up and you’re done.

Absolutely no issue with any sets we’ve installed and our own G82 M4 we did the first set to has done a few thousand miles and sat at shows with the lights on all day and is still perfect.

Check your connection first. It might be loose.

Love these lights

3-4 months since I've installed them | I love them

Lots of chatter about tape vs glue.....

The Motorsport+ adhesive (Tape) is amazing
Thin & can be applied quickly.

I couldn't ever dare to think about glue
Is it positioned it right - Did it cure long enough etc..

Save yourself the worries - Order the Motorsport+ Kit at iND

Peace of mind, quality, in stock and quick shipping is priceless

We've come full circle. I remember the E6X, E7X, E9X days when we despised the yellow DRLs and couldn't replace them fast enough. Here we are today, pining for them.

Does this mean that for US spec CSL the stock functionality is permanently yellow DRL’s (even when main headlights are switched off)?

Not sure if this was posted previously but looks like Vinyl Designs is bringing the full CSL yellow to white capability in their product. Europe first followed by US.

If only everyone would offer these solutions with the heat sinks already attached.
