Who has a scheduled pickup delivery date?

What’s the official release date then?

I feel like there’s only been speculation thus far?

Asking for a friend...no really my status just changed to at the dealership lol.

Saturday, March 13. Cars can be released to customers then (although some dealers jumped the gun when the first cars arrived, BMW has been pretty strict on March 13).

I was told I can expect to take delivery early next week. Wonder if it is because of the March 13th date or just slow getting on a truck.

Yep, I was just told pickup tuesday the latest due to title and registration paperwork.

Seems like every area and dealership is interpreting things differently. I've had mine for two days. There are delivery videos out there that were clearly made last weekend.

Same here! The waiting has been miserable. I turned my F80 in last August and my diesel X3 really isn't anywhere close.

I was sworn that they couldn’t do it before tomorrow. Because of warranty etc etc etc my CA was shocked that there were videos etc of owners. Saying maybe it was dealer plates etc.

I think a lot of this is the tenuous control that manufactures have over dealerships in the US. They can request things, but can't really demand them. They can, and I'm sure they do, withhold allocations later or otherwise punish a dealership that doesn't follow their requests, but even that can get the actual car maker sued by the dealerships if the franchise agreements are breached.

Another "the US is weird" situation.

Mine just arrived at the dealership today. They said unlikely delivery today due to PDI needing to be done but tomorrow is a possibility. No mention of a street date restriction.

How long did it take for your car to go from vpc to dealer ?

It arrived in port around 2/27 and just got to the dealership today so almost exactly 2 weeks.

Mine took two days but to be fair it was only a 2-3 hr drive away from port.

My delivery just got delayed. They found an oil leak during the pre-delivery inspection at the dealership.

Will know next week if it's a simple locally sourced part or something that will need to be sent from Germany.

wow man what horrid luck at least you will know for sure it’ll be fixed, delayed mine out till tuesday to get ceramic pro done!

Yeah, it sucks but I'm glad they found it now and not after delivery.

Not snarky at all man, welcome. Everyone has a bit different experience, there’s too many factors. Your situation is unique (location build finish date etc) only your CA and Genius have the true answer.
