I thought the same, but can't find anything cheaper even going through multiple brokers. I don't mind. I do wish it was lower though.

I'm min-maxed as best as can be. It's pretty shitty though. Rates have gone through the roof here in CO in the last few years.

Probably from all those people making claims for radiator leaks.

So which insurance providers are giving these low premiums? I use USAA.

If it were this easy... G80 easily bests Wife and maybe kids.... but the cost of that change might leave you with nothing... so invest in the prenuptial before buying the G80.

Salary range… well that’s a bag of worms, haha but yeah if you’re asking you should just wait. It will make it that much more enjoyable to wait a bit longer and do it the right way. IMHO

For me personally this will be a gift to myself, and son, after 10 years of paying on student loans.

I figured it’s easier to justify a ~1,500 car payment not that we don’t have to dish out 5,500 in student loans every month…. Ughhhh

Still a delta to work with!

Haha, not sure I’d suggest taking on that amount of education debt though!! I often wonder if we would have been better opening up a Subway/laundry mat combo somewhere….

Over the years I’ve found out that money is much easier to make than what all the universities would like you to think! Not complaining but there are many ways to afford a M3… I’m often envious of those who take more risks and get there with entrepreneurship.

Yea I recently paid off my physician loan it was brutal. And completely agree unless someone pays for ur school I don’t think physician salaries today justify debt and mostly important time it takes to get there. I think in 90s early 2000 it was much better return on investment then it is now.

I am not from States but can say my "life moto" regarding cars no matter how much does it cost or what you do for living. My life rule is that maximum value of a car can be your yearly sallary. Everything above that is too much stretch. God bless that I am still single and without kids so I can spoil myself 😁

Simple answer, a financially sound person who doesn’t care about what they drive should spend <10% of their salary on their garage. If the M3 is your only car, you should be making at least 7 figures yearly. That’s pretty much where everyone on this forum is currently. When we get promoted, we will move to GT3s

This could be a learning moment for me, but I’ve always thought six figures meant $100,000. Are you telling me that six figures only counts the number of zeros?!? I feel dumb.

What I was trying to say is that $100k is 10% of $1,000,000. Thus, we are all making around $1,000,000 per year to afford this vehicle.

Take off a few options and you could get a base M3 with a salary of $800,000/yr

Yeah man I highly doubt the average salary of M3 owners is 1 million a year…

Maybe I’m doing something wrong with my life, that or the sarcasm is strong with you. Kudos either way.

According to Dave Ramsey - you do need to make 7 figures ($1,000,000) to be able to afford a G8X

He might be right, but also the entire auto market in the US would crash because everyone would be driving around a 2008 Honda Civic that costs 6-8 grand…

I’m proud to support all those who work in the car industry with my unreasonable vehicle needs.

Mainly why I pursued a healthcare administration pathway as opposed to a physician pathway. The 150-200k loans scared me away, including the fact that so much in taxes gets taken out each paycheck. It’s a shame that being an MD is such an uphill battle.
