I may give a call on Monday to see where it is. By that time it should be physically at the port and may be assigned a vessel. That's often a crap shoot though. It could roll right on to a ship that is waiting or it could wait for weeks for one. It completely depends on the sailing schedule and the volume of cars waiting. The August factory closure works in our favor here.

I'd push your CA on the PCD. PCD usually needs to be in place before the car hits 150 status since the port and ultimate destination needs to be on the order. If he requested PCD, that's where the car would be sent. If not, then the car will be sent to the dealership. The genius line can sort this too. Just ask them the ultimate destination of the vehicle.

Week 36 here. Been at the port for ~11 days now. There are week 32 and 35s still at the port so it seems like there’s a back up there. I would wait until after your car shows in transit since calling the genius line when you get to the port will just let you know that it’s there and waiting to be assigned a carrier.

I was originally a week 36 car but ended up getting built almost an entire month ahead of schedule. It left the factory the day before the shutdown. Was in transit for nine days to the port. Been sitting at the port since the 21… I know there are several other week 32 guys still waiting for a ship ride to the east coast…

Since you’ve been waiting so long I have a good feeling my week 37 that just got to the port Friday won’t be hitting the ship on the 18th to the east coast. I think the earliest I will leave is the ship heading out on the 25th of Sept.

Ouch. Looks like german port does not have fifo. First in first out. Or they damaged the car and waiting on fix.

The genius said cars get shipped by batches, and to email them after a month to check up

I just flipped to at the port. Now it's just a waiting game before it hits the high seas.

Me too, flipped some time last night (EST). Lot of ships seem to be coming this week and next week but also seems to be others from weeks ahead of us still waiting for a ship.

Week 35 is seeing cars move to in transit which makes me think they’ll be on the ship leaving the 18th. I’m hopeful for September 25th departure.

Spoke to dealer today boat is in transit to port. Hopefully can get on a ship before the end of the month. In Australia so ship can take anywhere from 46+ days.

We got some bad news (the two of us with the same CA and in the same production week) ... the CA failed to submit the PCD request before status 150 and thus they told us PCD is not happening. I even tried to go through one of the instructors I know in Spartanburg to see if he could pull some strings - no luck.

My car is now at the port and they are offering New Owner Track Day to compensate, but it's quite disappointing.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, the destination port is locked down once the car it's 150. There's really nothing that can be done at that point. Very disappointing.

I am in the same boat. I didn't realize that status 150 was the cut-off mark and didn't think to re-confirm with my salesman until the vehicle reached the port.

Even though I asked him to go through the process and timing of when we would have to do paperwork to align with a PCD pick-up (when the car reached status 112).

So if we are in transit now does that mean we are on the 18th boat?

This is so lame. An essential part of their job, and they're just failing to do it. Maybe BMW should put the responsibility for these reservations on the customer. OR, why can't you just opt for it at the time of order? What prevents that?
