When you install the skid plate, the leading edge of the skid plate goes under the front bumper plastic, and you need to push the rear of the skid plate up as in vertically perpendicular to the ground. What I didn’t notice it was doing, until I installed the OEM front lip, was it was stretching the lower lip of the front bumper, all the way around. Now when you go to install the 3 piece front lip, there are gaps between the center and edge pieces, because the skid plate is pushing the bumper forward, and out. I’ve been able to fix it a little from this picture, but, it’s still not perfect, because it’s behind pushed out from behind the lip. The OEM front lip, shouldn’t fit like this.

I wonder if that's why my replaced M-Perf front lip doesn't fit like the original. I hit a tire shred in the middle of the road and it ripped my M-Perf lip. I had it replaced, but it had a gap like you're showing. I took it back and they tried to fix it. It's better, but it's still not as good as the original port installed lip.

After spending time trying to figure out why my OEM front lip didnt fit correctly, thats what I came up with. I took the Turner off and loosened the fitment bolts for the front bumper to loosen it up, to make sure I was releasing any slack from it getting pushed forward, and the front lip fit correctly. So, I put the skid plate back on, and as soon as I had it all bolted up, that gap was better, but, it opened back up.

The Mishimoto just got delivered 10 minutes ago. Im not sure when Im going to get it installed, but I will be working on it, soon. Im contemplating getting rid of my Project Gamma front grille, and going with the OEM CSL grill, and that OEM lower cooler rock guard.

If I decide to do the grill, I will obviously be doing everything at the same time. I'll take the front lip back off, and redo everything to make sure if fits correctly.

Ceramic coated the car today. First time I’ve ever ceramic coated anything, turned out pretty good I think.

I had a BMW service tech install them. He did it in 1.5 hours and charged $375.
Very reasonable since I’ve heard quotes as high as $600 and 3-4 hours of labor.

The local BMW dealership did the install when it went in for its annual post hibernation oil change. The service manager told me they did not remove the mirrors.

That's what one of the best shops out by me charged for mine too, $350ish.

Not lowered yet but I have springs in the garage that I’ll put on after my break in service.
12mm front and rear. No rubbing but I also have the R44 fender liner inserts
