I just got the kit delivered and was wondering if you know the adjustments for the G80. I want to go max front but trying to find how low I should go with the rear.

Front 20mm
Rear 5 or 10mm

5 wont be enough. Thats less than 1/4”. I would say 10mm and go from there.

Agreed. 5 would barely be noticeable. 10 minimum.

First time poster so bare with me.Me and by dealer are building my M4 comp. XDRIVE and I have a few questions :

1)What part # do u use for the 2025 MPHAS system ?
2)When u add this to the build,is it paid separately or add to the cost of the build ?
3)Is it automatically done at the port when on the build sheet ?

Thanks in advanced.

1) Dealer has the info to add it to the order
2) paid all together. Not a separate charge.
3) Yes it is auto installed at the port assuming it was included in the original order/build.

Go back to page 45. I posted the 2025 Port installed options list. The part number is on there. The only thing I don’t recommend is ordering wheels, because you pay for them, and they keep the stock set, you don’t get both.

If you’re leasing, you can residualize the cost of the springs into the lease. And yes, if you order them, they will be on the window sticker.

So, after that, it definitely needs to be aligned.

it's not that there is too much tension to turn it, it's because there is more tension on the adjuster than there is on the perch in the mount, so when you turn it the whole perch spins instead of the adjustment ring. such an annoying issue for something that should be simple. im wondering if anyone has come up with an easy way to hold the perch in place so the adjuster can be moved. if not i'm going to try to figure something out.

There was a trick on the F8X chassis MPHAS that using a long flat head screwdriver up the center with a jack removed the preload and allowed adjustment of the collar. I never tried that method so not sure if that worked, specifically but there is/was a special BMW tool in the workshop instructions that removed the spring preload for that same chassis. I was never able to locate that tool via Amazon but I think the principle remains the same.

I just mark my camber bolts and realign to that.

So quite possibly a stupid question but fuck it...

My M4 inbound has the MPP HAS on the MSRP so it will be installed at the port...

Will they align it there?
What do they do with the OEM springs that were on the car?

Yes it is aligned at the port. I assume we do not get the OEM springs. Factored into their pricing.

I will confirm tonight as I am picking up my 25 M4 with port installed suspension at 5:00

The factory uses a jig when they assemble the car. It’s bolted to the steering column, without the steering wheel. When the port does it they just sit in the seat and adjust the wheel, which the steering rack has a little play in it and it’s never completely straight.

I hate getting my car aligned anywhere, because most alignment shops make the wheel centering worse, when they align the car. They sit in the car and straighten the wheel, then go mess with the tie rods when they don’t need to be messed with. The rack tells them they need to be adjusted based on how well the aligned the wheel up. Which, there is a little play in the wheel, or you know, trying to adjust the wheel with the car off, yields different results then when the car is off and the wheel is adjusted into position.

The manufacturers allow for a generic averaged driver body weight when adjusting for CLEAR-VISION. Clear-vision has become a generic term describing if the steering wheel is properly centered or leveled during alignment adjustment. The best way is to sit in the car and don't move an inch and hold the wheel centered. This allows for your specific weight etc. My buddy ran Fort Worth Champion Spring alignment services for over 20 years. I will ask TTW for this type of alignment next gig.

When at GM Arlington Assembly Plant in 1978. The alignment pit was a 15 second clear vision set. Many autos on the new car lots are not centered properly. Quick play at the auto plants..........

Fort Worth Champion Spring, 90 year old spring shop. The faciilty was at one time a Greyhound bus depot for service. Greyhound (Dallas based). The owner sold the property off at the corner of Lancaster and Henderson for 5 million and built a lake house on Eagle Mountain Lake. The building was historic, early to mid 20's. QT bought the property, in addition to Haws Paint and Body next door, built their gas station convenience store.

When I worked at GM Arlington Assembly Plant, Local Union 146, Steamfitters & Pipefitters Local we worked the plant. I watched the alignment pit amazed. 15 seconds Clear Vision set. Many new autos on dealers lot has suspected alignment. Most if not all manufacturer makes will provided for one free alignment during the first 12,000 miles. This they do not advertise!

Can someone measure ground clearance from ground to bottom of front lip spoiler (or lowest rubbing point) after MPHAS installation? I have steep driveway and even with Bridjit my Porsche has to enter and exit at angle. My Cayman front end sticks out quite a bit and has 6.5" clearance and is tight.

I am looking at M3 xDrive without exterior carbon kit.

Thanks in advance!
