Installed the painted IND reflectors this morning - pretty easy. If I'm being hyper critical, I do wish they matched a little more perfectly, but overall happy with the result. Now I will blend in a little more with the Europeans.

I'm planning on getting the Autotecknic GT4 grille and was planning on a mesh behind it. Based on others noting the foam was visible I thought to get the carbon foam pad cover as well.

Cameras on cameras on cameras…. Why didn’t you just get drive recorder and have dashcam capability for situations and a cleaner setup?

Seriously? Might want to actually read what the drive recorder does and how a dash cam is different. No parking mode and only records for a few seconds when it senses an accident. No way for it to see someone running a light and hitting you. Sure, it will record once your hit but what good is that? You can start it manually but why?

“The recorder starts automatically if the vehicle sensors detect an accident situation. However, it is only after an accident gets detected by the crash sensors that the footage is saved. The maximum length of recordings takes only up to 40 seconds – 20 before the accident happens and 20 after – which are the most relevant developments of the event. Taking such video later to court may help with accident reconstruction, and clarifying the cause or who’s guilty.”

Not sure why you would throw shade in a “What did you do with your M3/M4 today” thread but whatever. Please do some research before spouting misleading information. BTW, I have the drive recorder.

You may also want to read up on the FitCamX as it replaces the mirror surround and looks 100% stock.

Have you had your coffee yet Mike or do you normally take everything as criticism and bark back? Relax, everyone’s got a right to visual opinions on what they think. Anyway, do you think it takes more than 20 seconds before a hit for someone to run a red light and then cause an accident? I guess not ever having a dashcam and seeing your setup with multiple ones (factory and added dashcam) made me feel like it’s not properly repurposing or using what you’ve got to accomplish the same “in emergency” situations tech already in the car. I guess for me it would be one camera or the other, but not both for “this does that and this is for this” kind of thing, but that’s just me. I have no need to record everything because if a wreck happens in front of me or whatever happens around me that a dashcam might have caught isn’t my business and I’m not submitting dashcam footage for stuff that’s not mine. I’m not one of those people who “wanna get involved” in other people’s shit, so I wouldn’t have the need for constant recording. I also value my privacy and it’s one reason I can’t stand people who feel the need to record everything that happens around them. One reason I can stand a Tesla… so far up your ass and not private at all with drive data or camera footage both inside and out. 🤮

Anyway, carry on… didn’t mean for you to take offense on something you wanted praise on.

I’m not angry and I don’t drink coffee😂 It just seemed like an odd place to critize those with dash camera’s especially when what you posted might make people think the Drive Recorder is the same as a Dash cam. I really don’t need validation for anything I do. I post to give others ideas on things they may want for their cars. If not most would just move on.

When I track my car I like to pull the footage afterwards and review so I can see how I can improve.

No offense taken and have a great day!

Yeah, at least on my car, with the small hex mesh, the carbon foam cover is all but invisible.

I have the drive recorder and will soon install the BMW dash cam. Why, bc my car is currently in the collision center after I got hit by another driver at the side. Left side wall will be replaced. I have to cover this with my own insurance bc the damn drive recorder didn‘t start and did also not save the recording after manual activation. Otherwise case would have looked totally different. This just as a side note to the discussion. I never had a dash cam in my life before. But again, 6000 bucks later, I was willing to spend the 450 on the ACE from BMW.

It wasn’t too bad. Whole job took about 3 hours but I was taking my time. Most of the removal isn’t bad, the only difficult part is the 2 screws behind the wheel well.

Scoop a set of RK Tinanium intakes for a good price. Installed everything tonight…so much more induction noise now.

Also does anyone know where I can find orange intake filters? The blue doesn’t go with anything on the car. Plus the driver side filter is turning white.

Don’t mind the missing engine cover. I sent it out to get paint matched.

I was debating doing this but to me I would want gloss black to match the CSL front vents. So I left them on. You can barely see them while driving anyway.

And an fyi the front bumper maybe takes 30 mins to take off. Same time it takes to remove an S2000 front bumper.

Picked it up yesterday from the dealer.

Today I put some leather color guard on all the leather in the car.

Installed the SST valve controller

Swapped in the M3 center console badge

Installed the Mishimoto oil cooler guard. Totally stripped the plastic out on two of the cheap plastic threaded holes. Those things are absolute butter so be careful when installing this. You can see I’m now missing the two middle rear screws.
