Next week Monday or Tuesday…that is the best scenario. This whole fiasco is causing a ripple effect with my PPF appointment which needs to be pushed back 30 days or so.

Similar here. My detail / PPF guy had me reserved for this week but....no car. So will be pushed back to the end of December. I kind of wanted to have the car to play with during the Christmas break; now it will be sitting at the PPF shop. Oh well, first world problems. He's like "you're going to have to resist the urge to drive it with no PPF". I'm like "I'm driving this car, I waited 5 months for it. If I get a stone chip, no biggie". Honestly, I don't care about the car being 100% pristine; I do the PPF because of the accumulated wear over the many years I plan on having the car. So if there's a chip under the film....oh well.

Glad you are going to get your car soon.

Thanks, at least I don't have to wait as long to get tint. The guy that was going to do my PPF was also going to do my tint but now I have to look elsewhere.

Congrats on the deliveries! I'm from week 45 and my car just got to the US port. Anyone who got port installed options please share how long that delayed delivery? I've heard anything from 3-5 to 2 weeks.

Thanks man. I sweated the details on it HARD. Really was worried about the headlights but the contrast is perfect.

It was good. Fantastic time to get acquainted with the car. Active cruise with lane keep rules. Helps with being able to poke through the menus and settings while munching miles. I just was mindful to not constantly cruise. Put it in manual and ran it up to, uh, the max break in speed every now and then.

Got it up to about 5 k and then decelerated down through the gears to put some compression load on the engine every 15-30 minutes if we weren’t getting off the highway. Nothing too psychotic, but mindful not to stay stuck at 2000 RPM cruise.

7/8 - Requested BMW rep to change the order to add individual Interior
7/11 - Interior changed to ZBEW - Ivory Individual. Moved to build Week 38. Status back to 111
7/28 - Status 112 - Scheduled for Production
9/12 - Status 150 - Production Begins; VIN Acquired, Build date 9/21.
9/17 - Status 150 - Production Begins; Build date changed to 9/22
9/19 - Status 151 - Exterior Body Assembly Begins
9/20 - Status 152 - In the Paint Booth
9/21 - Status 153 - Entering Production Line.
9/21 - Status 154 - Assembly in Progress
9/21 - Status 155 - Quality Check
9/22 - Status 176 (?) - Final Assembly
9/22 - Status 180 (?) - Ready For Transport
9/22 - Status 182 - Awaiting Carrier Assignment
9/22 - Status 190 - Dispatched from Factory
9/25 - Status 193 - At the Port
10/30 - Status 195 - In Transit

Side note: For those planning to swap the DRLs, I made getting to that pesky torx screw that's blocked easier to access by drilling a small hole through the bracket that blocks it. Made the job SO MUCH easier.

I admire the ingenuity but I would be weary about compromising the integrity of that piece that looks like it's involved with body panel mounting...

It's almost certainly fine but I probably wouldn't do it lol.
