Since coming out with their Model S, Tesla has been consistently plagued by the same product quality issues. Panel gaps, trim falling apart, certain buttons/features not working as intended, paint defects, and in one extreme case a sunroof on the Model Y coming off on the highway due to improper sealing.
I personally think EVs make as a great daily and while I may not be the biggest fan of Tesla heres how I would break it down. Pros: - Latest technology - in terms of EV and driving features no other EV manufacturer is close to were Tesla is - Its different - Great towing and storage - If you have "opps" its bullet proof to a degree so drive relaxed with peace of mind - Power - Durability Cons: - The weight and edges of the vehicle make me concerned about impact against other vehicles - Product quality - Range is 340 but Tesla originally mentioned it would be higher - Future cost to repair - Price |

The Cybertruck runs 11.2 in the quarter and beat a Raptor R. They even had the Cybertruck racing on dirt and the Raptor R on pavement and it still won. It’s crazy fast.
This will sell out for sure.

This is a bit off topic but since people in this thread keep calling Elon the devil here is a good read.
In an interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin with Elon Musk at The New York Times DealBook Summit Musk stated: "... what I care about is the reality of goodness, not the perception of it ... and what I see all over the place is people who care about looking good while doing evil ... f- them." Interesting article expanding on that concept: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/bridg...aign=share_via

I do agree with the second point. There are plenty of people around me who try to prop themselves up as all religious and caring but are just straight trash and I have way more respect for the people who are nasty and don't try to hide it. Hipocrocy is a way worse sin. |

Yes, considering it for sure. Wife has a Model Y and while not perfect (which I already know my inbound G80 6MT isn’t either), it is a truly great vehicle for our needs. Actually saw a Cybertruck in person yesterday and really liked it, MUCH more than in pix or videos.

Giving this absolute piece of trash a voice again is just more proof. He says the people have spoken when it suits his message, but they’re bots when they go against him.

Ironic since as I pointed out above (and these are but a few of the examples), he is absolutely doing the same. |

Considering he shut down Starlink when he found out Ukraine was launching an operation against Russia so they couldn’t attack, then the Russians launched a bunch of rockets that got civilians killed, I’d say he’s worse.

It's a monstrosity. When the revolution comes CT owners will be the first to hang. Check out a Genesis GV80 for a 7 seater. It's quite lux and about $20k less than a similar X7. 6 cylinder is peppy for an SUV. |

Drove one around a parking lot today. Fascinating experience and so much fun to maneuver. Not even going hand-over-hand while parking feels so different that you wanna do it again and again.
The CT evokes such a childlike joy, and that’s the best part about it. I genuinely feel that those who are so emotionally invested against it either don’t grasp that or are just negative, pessimistic types in life. Of course the build quality was bad. Glaringly so. The worst I’ve ever seen in any new car, full stop. But who cares? The quality of my McLarens have been dogshit, too. But, yeah…panels don’t line up and you see wires and shit that you don’t feel like you’re supposed to see. Oh well. If that bothers you, or if you don’t have the luxury of having multiple cars for a verity of different experiences at any given time, then it’s not for you. |
