Unfortunately this is for US only and not Canada. And the only way to check the status number for your order is from your bmw advisor.

Edit 2: Today my order became "Production Begins", a VIN is now shown and this Chrome plugin now also shows the "Additional Vehicle Details" as expected (after clicking the plugin icon).

Edit: On the Chrome store I see the comment "Works perfect, just need to be on status 150 at least to see the magic". This would of course be "150 Production Started", which my order isn't at yet.

I am not seeing the additional information shown in the screenshots after installing the extension from the Chrome store, permitting it for mygarage.bmwusa.com, and reloading (and closing and reopening browser too).

Also worth noting is the production number was received today and the page shows a status of "Scheduled for production".

This is on Windows 11 running Chrome Version 126.0.6478.185 (Official Build) (64-bit). I also have uBlock Origin installed but have tried disabling it as well to no avail.

The developer console shows the following errors:

For slow people like me who took several days to figure out how to use this, here is a step by step sequence:

After adding the extension go to the Extensions icon at top right of Chrome then select the pin icon beside BMW MyGarage Chrome Trick which will add the blue BMW icon beside the Extensions icon.

To use, go to MyGarage and click on Track Status for your vehicle, then click on this blue BMW icon on top right of Chrome at which time the Additional Vehicle Details will show up above the BMW website tracking information.

Note that until you reach status 150, no build date will show.
