When I woke up this morning I did what any person with addiction would do. I checked the location of the car. Both the GPS and BMW website updated. Now in transit. Hope everyone who been stuck with me at Krefeld got some movement.

I hear ya bud. I hope at this point my car and others that suffered with me for 2 months have a ship assignment. Because I assume it will go to Bremerhaven and not stay there for too long!

9 long weeks is over. Made it on a boat. Not sure which one yet, but was notified I made it on a boat.

For those “in transit” status did you confirm you are on a boat? I believe I remember someone who was in Krefeld go to in transit when moving from Krefeld to Bremerhaven. IDK, could totally be wrong on that…

Yea my CA said he got no update on his end but can take a day or 2…I doubt we have a boat though but people say once you make it from Krefeld to Bremerhaven then we get on a ship soon!

Yours has been a unique nightmare so I’m not sure what’s going on, but in transit means already on a boat (normally!). I understand you were in their parking lot for awhile, but when it moves from there doesn’t it update to at the port? It takes a few days for your CA or a genius to tell you which ship you’re on once you flip to transit so I’d call tomorrow and see. And keep hope alive damnit! They can’t fit my car onto the ship until yours clears out!!

I thought the car go from Krefeld on a train thus the in transit on bmw website? And NO! Maybe yours is already on a ship! The funny thing is it seems the GPS only update when they start the car in the lot and I assume drove it on the train?

Krefeld>In transit>Bremerhaven>Boat>In transit> Mars?

Sorry to say but genius has more accurate info than the dealer. My SA told me that my car had reached New York when I knew from Genius that it was still aboard a ship.. and I'm in California and cars destined for the west coast never even go to the east coast…

Happy for you mate! Finally some positive news 🙌🏻

Get your dealer to send you a screenshot of the Distribution tab. There's a attribute on there saying 'next location'. Then you'll see if it's going to Brem or shipping from Cuxhaven instead.

He said he got no update on his end. Doubt bmw site update faster than internal. Did you make it on a ship?

Nah, I'm still apparently at dispatched from factory. Day 23.
My delivery date to dealership was last week, so that's gone out the window!
My 'next location' field states Cuxhaven (UK destined cars are normally shipped from there) but god knows where it's been sat the last twenty-odd days as obviously it's not been just riding the train for that period.

Haha! That's why I am not holding my breath for mine "In transit" either. Literally parked in Krefeld for 2+ month. What's the worse that could happen?
