Negative, you can put the request in as soon as status 111.

Takes about 24hrs for the PC to respond with your request & you'll be placed in a queue. One the car is enroute to the US or when its at VPC they'll email your CA with dates for delivery. 👍

My CA's manager basically said, "I'll put the request in but if it's going to delay delivery by 2+ months we can't do it because it'll mess up our allocations."

At least he was honest. We're now just waiting for status 150 for the PC to give us dates.

So what. It’s your money and your car. BMW gives you the option for PCD, and the dealer needs to do what you want. This will be my 6th PCD, and I’ve never encountered a CA or dealer who wasn’t cooperative and excited for me to have the experience. Your dealer is full of it.

Call BMW Customer Relations to register a complaint. Also, tell the dealer that they can expect a very poor rating on the BMW survey if they don’t shape up.

Same, 17 days in status 112, scheduled date is August 6th, still no vin, I’m a g81 so not sure if that’s why

Production begins! Already got my vin too! I was worried cause I made a change two weeks ago, called genius and was told my build was moved to week 36. Glad it looks like I’m still on track with you guys.

I’ve been checking twice a day. Mine was still in scheduled this morning, but by afternoon it jumped. I found that kinda strange cause it was like 11pm their time.

A lot of you all will still be in 112 until next week (when production will begin). Week 32 is the week of Aug 5th which is when the car will be completed.... I've been through this a few times and going through this again (I am week 36)

I called genius just to see if maybe I got moved up, but they told me I’m still week 32, however production started early (makes no sense to me either). They’re projecting my car being done 7/31. Is it wishful thinking to hope I take delivery by end of August? I’m in SoCal, so I’m aware of the longer boat ride.
