So mine just populated with at Port for the first time. How do I tell if\when it will get a boat assignment and if it has actually departed?

Yeah I wish I could keep mine, but dont really have space to park both. And hard for me to justify 2 sedans in my head. Will always love my wrx tho

Once it goes to in transit, you can call genius and find out what ship it’s on.

So who is going to be the first? Mine as been at the "Dealer" since Sep 20th. I just couldn't do the Performance Center Delivery until October 10th so that's what I'm booked for.

Genius this morning informed me that its released to carrier as of 9/21, with ETA 9/28. Weird because yesterday over email they said it was waiting for shipping. I hope the guy on the phone was right, and it lands in 4 days at my dealer. Already have the funds ready to go and the trade appraised

I'm on the same "boat", since we are now off the boat lol. My CA told me 9/29 to NorCal. However, he said that of the car shows up on the weekend then PDI can't be completed until the following workday.... Hoping for an early than expected delivery, but I haven't gotten anyword that the car has been picked up by a truck. Also the app still says at the port. I've also tried checking my BMW but it seems the site has been down for a week now

Yeah, I asked the genius about that too.. I thought for a second it was just my account but he confirmed they are having backend issues.

Hoping they get those trucks moving quickly as they are literally losing money not moving those cars now, for sold orders..

Mine sat 4 weeks. It sucked. I’m west coast though, and I believe there are less ships coming my way. So if you’re east coast, you may do better.

I was east coast and sat at the port for six weeks…

My status changed back to In Transit. Car is headed to the dealership today. My CA told me that the car should be ready for collection tomorrow.

My app never updated, still says at the port. But just got a text from my CA saying the car is at the dealer ready to be picked up. Most likely gonna grab it this weekend then take it straight to get PPFed

I should have learned patience by now; this is my 5th custom order BMW, but I think I was spoiled by the 2021 M3 that got here (west coast) in less than 2 months from the day I first contacted the dealer. This time my build week got pushed back 3 times, then the time from "dispatched from the factory" to the port was held up 2 weeks for the shutdown. Then there was 2 weeks waiting for a ship, then the Panama canal was backed up due to water shortage. I got to southern Mexico at the same time as hurricane John. Now, the next stop port is backed up because of weather and the effects of the hurricane, My ship is resting outside the port. I have the port view up on my screen so I can speed things up by refreshing every 10 minutes. Are we there yet?

The app has been working for me. The site is still down. Hopefully tonight it flips to at dealership. I'll post about it if I see it change.

Otherwise I got an email from my CA last night about it.
