I’m going to go a little against the tide here. Seems like a lot of you like this system, but I am on the other side. I actually did a review on 11mode and of course they won’t post it cause I only gave it one star. I have a 2025 X5 LCI and installed the BMW performance exhaust (it is a BMW product and was installed by the BMW dealership so I would not void my warranty) not to be confused with the M Sport exhaust which was about a 10 K upgrade. Bought this 11mode thinking that would make a really nice difference in the sound sound is already much better with the upgraded performance exhaust, but just wanted that little bit more, especially with the ability to have that snake like my Porsche does. It does change the tone a little bit, but on my particular model I only have one valve controller so the two that they sent me, one will not get used and is a throwaway. Would love to give them kudos, but I feel even for the low cost. It was not worth the money. When trying to contact 11mode they pretty much just said sorry but you only use one and that was about the extent of their empathy lol again not worth the money in my case.

I might be misunderstanding your feedback, but from what you described, it sounds like the product is working as intended.

The 11mode controller is designed to open and close the valves. In your case, your exhaust system only has one valve, so using a single controller is expected and normal. The controller is still doing exactly what it is supposed to do by controlling that valve.

It also sounds like what you were really hoping for was a bigger change in sound. A valve controller, regardless of brand, will not drastically change volume or tone on its own. It just gives you control over when the valve is open or closed. If the controller is functioning properly and you still want more sound, you should consider an exhaust upgrade or possibly downpipes to achieve a noticeable difference.

Based on that, I am not sure how this would be an issue with 11mode specifically, unless I am misunderstanding your complaint.

That sucks.

Wouldn't be surprised if you picked up a cheap aliexpress remote and it worked with your kit, this would at least give the leftover valve some purpose for someone else.

It sounds like he clicked the wrong box when ordering, and selected two valves instead of one. That is 100% user error. Plus, I just checked the website, and they're both the same price anyways, so not sure why he cares. He wants half off for only having one valve or something?

Not sure what the complain here unless you expected too much. The product worked as intended and you bought it knowing the price up front. The site also lists cars with 1 controller and 2 controller kits. So you bought the 2 controller kit and have an un-used one because your car has single exhaust and you tried to return 1 controller to get half refund ? I wouldn't think that is a fair call for seller. You should have bought 1 controller kit if you knew your car.

Why not checking with your mates to see anyone has similar car with single exhaust, check if they want it then they sell it to them cheap and they can buy extra remote to use with it.

Then just simply 1 press : car default setting, 2 presses : full open.

You won't get much sound on a stock exhaust, your negative review wasn't warranted. Also different car/exhaust system, on our cars the muffler is bypassed when you open the valves.

Your review is wrong though, all this device does is force the exhaust flaps to be fully open. You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of what this product does, I wouldn’t publish your review either.

I have it installed on my X5 M60i and I’m probably going to pull it off and put it on my M3 when it arrives, because on the X5 even with the flaps open the exhaust isn’t really that loud or exciting in comparison to leaving it on auto. Has nothing to do with the controller not working, the exhaust simply doesn’t change a lot by having the valves forced open.

Curious why your exhaust only had one valve, mine had two.

i got mine direct from 11mode and didn't pay any extra fees. that was like a month ago or so, so maybe it's different now

Regarding the fees, it's very confusing as the tariff laws keep changing; some paid, some did not.
That said, whether you pay the fee or not has nothing to do with who you ordered from; all US orders are coming directly from 11mode either way
