I agree w/ Swank - I think the best** aftermarket ones can do is just match the stock steel two-piece deal. Maybe match it and look better. I agree most offer less bracing/rigidity. The CSL being the exception.

BTW, for your viewing pleasure - here is the PLA deal that seeks to match the CSL brace. Porn music for added viewing pleasure.

Lol at the music, are those tiny bolts really enough to hold a strut brace like this? Or is it just a decorative piece?

So clever...so, I did not** like the silver look. I know - boring. Shopped around powdercoating. Finally - I did multiple coats w/ high temp rattle can

I know, not a good bling option..but I am very happy w/ it.

That CSL strut brace is crying right now… not only did it get painted a color to blend in, but it’s also got a toonerbox harness zip tied to it like bad jewelry. 😝😆

Lol!! 100% guilty!

I swear, I had it one for a week or so silver. Just too bright/shiny.

I DID get more respect for the original boxed brace. It is NOT a bad unit. It is .9lb's more weight. It is BLACK too! I like the low key look of my CS brace black. lol - was worried I'd get murdered for posting it black.

Congrats! I think it looks great! Power coating that would fall into the bling category for me. I rattle can job can look just as good, but its all about surface prep.

Have you noticed any differences when turning with with CS strut brace?

Here's a head scratcher, looks like BMW is moving away from the CS/CSL (1 piece, 7 points of contact design) strut brace .

There is this article about the new '25 M4 CS. The press release images show that there is no '24 CS/CSL strut brace, is just has the stock (2 piece, 5 point of contact) steel one.

I believe it’s just an error by the marketing team since the text specifically talks about the brace, with similar verbiage that was used for the m3 cs release.

Yeah - idk on the future of the cs/csl strut brace. I looked at a lot of options out there - Paddle has these for 1900 shipped. I think used they go for 1500-1700. It is high coin, but it is a nice piece. I honestly have decent respect for the stock piece after getting this new one. While the welds aren't great - the boxed construction is pretty solid/well made.

I am not a good enough driver to feel difference. I am lower w/ Eibachs - have the Mperformance/lightweight wheels and this brace. Car feels on rails to me.

I'm planning a Roy Rodgers trip to Road Atlanta soon!

Yeah, that’s what happens when there’s no IOMG CSL/CS cars that you end up needing to use an engine bay pic of. Maybe their marketing dept should have hit up this forum to find someone else’s pic so they don’t look like fools. 😆

The real point is, even the old GTS has a much more spaced out front connection points on its carbon bar. It’s about spreading that out to “box in” the top as much as possible to minimize flex… something the single points can do. Hell, the stock single front point could even benefit from the top points being linked together and having a couple of vertical “I” beams on each side (similar to the CSL one) come down to the V bar. While it won’t match the CSL bar in terms of front load spread, it would help to bring down some of the torsional twist factor. It’s kinda what Dinan did with theirs in a way.

Without fail there's typically a large error in every single one of their press releases that I've found. Either wrong pictures or specs, dating back to the F10 M5. They have to have a few enthusiasts left at BMW, but maybe not.
