Next few weekends look good for me. I should be picking up my car before the end of the month.

How about Houston proper? It is between both Katy and The Woodlands.
Maybe Uptown or River Oaks District?

Perhaps we could arrange a photographer for the day to get some still and rolling shots while we’re at it. If anyone likes this idea I could open my office garage downtown at the Niels Esperson Building and we could meet on the roof for some shots while we wait for everyone to arrive, then cruise to lunch and get some rolling shots on the way.

I like it, lets get a roll call going to see who is interested in meeting up. We can then setup a group chat to discuss the details further.

I'll go first. Am in!

I'm in for a meetup, photo-shoot, hangout, etc. I live in Tomball but happy to meetup wherever the most popular spot ends up being.

Actually heading to town for lunch today if anyone is going to be around the Heights area.

I don't live in Houston but want to say that your strip clubs are a national treasure. You all are blessed to live there.

What date works for everyone?
I am not traveling for the foreseeable future so any weekend works for me.

Should we try for a photoshoot?
Selfishly, I want to have my car photographed with the KW HAS kit, RSC rear upper and lower diffuser, Vorsteiner front grill and AA exhaust installed, but so far only the HAS kit has arrived and been installed. I would be more than happy to hire a professional photographer for the day once all these parts are installed, but the timing of their delivery is fluid at best. Anyone fancy themselves an amateur or semi-professional photographer?

Where should we meet?
Any other suggestions? We can still meet at my garage downtown, but I will need a headcount and confirmed date/time so I can inform security in advance. Otherwise, the parking garage at River Oaks District is free, has a nice view of Williams Tower and they host a lot of the Houston car events so I assume it would not be an issue. Below is a quick shot I took from my iPhone 12Pro at dawn before installing the KW HAS to give you an idea of the view. Plenty of places to grab lunch around there during the weekend as well and the strip clubs are right around the corner for @jwt2440 and anyone who wants to join him.

My car arrived at Galveston this morning, with currently no open recalls. If I can take delivery of the car by the time you all meet, I am in.

Congrats, that's exciting! What is your spec?

Thanks! I had been looking at ordering a car for a month or two, but it appeared that it was going to be a 10+ month wait before actually taking delivery. Or pay a crazy markup and hope it arrives in less than 6 months. I was fortunate enough to find a Dealer Allocation coming to BMW The Woodlands that met 85% of my spec and put my name on it. Whenever I actually take delivery of the car, I will post a more formal thread with pictures (possibly professional depending on this meet up), but for now the spec is below.

G80 Competition
Portimao Blue
Black Extended Leather
Exec Package
Carbon Fiber Trim
Shadowline Lights

Basic spec compared to most, but that's actually what I was targeting. Although it's not exactly the same, I have had experience on a brand new F150 King Ranch where I checked every option. And ultimately I don't use 60% of what I thought I "needed." The only options I would have like to have would have been the Full Black Leather. Although I am not sure how that would have held up in the South Texas heat and humidity. And possibly the Parking Assistance Package. I never use the 360 camera on my F150, but the front camera would have been convenient. Who knows, maybe once I take delivery, I can go and put my name on a new order. Then if I have to wait a year or so, at least I get to drive a G80 in the meantime.

Sounds awesome! I probably could have saved some dollars by excluding a few options, but ultimately do not feel I could do without any of them. I absolutely love the CF bucket seats and that was my biggest concern when specifying the order. No regrets.

I should also add that I am getting the 826M Bi-color wheels.

When I went to reserve the M3, they had a used M4 with the CF seats. I suppose I am the anomaly on this forum, because I did not like them at all. The felt great if you are sitting 100% straight, but I felt I could not move around. I understand that it is the idea, but on longer trips sometimes you need to readjust yourself in your seat. Also, getting in and out was a pain for me. I am not a big guy by any means (5'10 175Lbs soaking wet), but they just didn't work for me. Maybe because I am used to a lifted F150 for the past few years.

I’ll join you as soon as my car arrives. Currently in status 150 (“Production begins”). I expect to get it sometime in March (fingers crossed).

Come to think of it, I’d love to check out your rides while waiting for mine!

Please count me in.

I hear that for sure and comfort was actually my biggest concern; that and I did not think they would be heated or power adjustable. I didn't even think to ask. I just assumed they wouldn't be and blindly highlighted the option thinking I was paying more for less (similar to an Italian sports car) and hoping I would eventually get used to them. I was pleasantly surprised to find they were both electrically adjustable and heated and still comfortable enough for longer road trips. Getting in and out is, however, sometimes annoying though. Pros, for me, outweigh the cons. My wife disagrees.

I love the bucket seats, by far the most comfortable seats I've had in a long time. They're very supportive and even on long trips I have no issues.

I feel as if many people assume they're bad but never give them a proper chance. I say in Porsche CF Buckets the other day and I was rather disappointed in their style and feel compared to what BMW offers. I did order a Cayman GTS though with the buckets (still not 100% on getting it yet) but BMW did a good job with them
