I would never run in my car like that, but people use anecdotal evidence to make their decisions.

Yes, was not reacting to you personally, sorry for that.

It's just like you state, that there are so many people building opinions about it, while we just need some discipline the first few hundred miles driving it. But apparently, this is already too much for some that justify their lack of discipline with some unfounded speculations and need to indulge their crave for max. adrenaline from the first minute with a new car.

Nope. Speed does not equal interest.
Both the Ostrich and Cheetah are exceptionally fast animals, but only one is really admired for its sleek appearance. The other one is just a quick, ugly bird.

I always get a kick out of these break in threads. I work in an engine test lab. We unpack brand new engines from crates, put them in a dyno cell, and run the break in cycle provided by the people that make the damn engine. Within 30 minutes of operation they run at 100% throttle and near maximum speed. The faster they break in the faster we can perform the calibration or engine test. Never a problem...

The cycle varies the speed and load to help with the consistency of the break in. But a part of the cycle is WOT!

It's so true! I run map 5 on my JB4 for the x3m comp with AWD on E85. S58 engine is no joke! Can't wait to see numbers on a G80 AWD.

That's what many who favor a hard break-in have stated. There's merit to the argument.

Is this chasis able to handle 670 WHP?
If the stock car is 503 HP which is around 450 WHP, then this tune is 50% over stock!
Not sure from engineering stand point if this is a safe tune unless you just want to drive this car for drag race

It's not that bad, those are dynojet STD correction figures.

Take 4.5% off to get to SAE and a further 1% off to get to DIN and you're still probably more like crank hp numbers.

Not knocking the tuner by the way, looks a strong upgrade.

Don't see any merit to the argument at all. Crate engine in a lab following an automated accelerated break-in to reduce the time spend during this procedure, versus an idiot thrashing his new car as from the first ride without any controlled condition at all. What is the expected benefit from the latter?

Just that cheetah is 50% faster than the ostrich, like G82 M4 vs Yaris GR; I'll take the M4 any day in this case

I only watched the video once but I think it's:

E85 - 522hp
Pump-gas (bone stock) - 466hp
E85 w/ Port injection - 661hp
E85, port injection, + JB4 - 679hp

OP would know for certain though.
