I can't get over the fake air ducts at the side of the car, over the top bonnet vents, it's all made the car look too fussy in my opinion. My M4's bonnet bulge is really classy and just looks the business from a distance. It's not trying too hard. I can't explain what I mean.
It's a natural gorgeous design. F82 looks great turning up at work meetings and also flying down a B road. This all looks a bit, cheesy? Trying to hard, not classy? Not something I'd like to turn up to work in really. These are most people's daily's I think some less complicated wheels need adding to the options and some normal interior choices, Full Silverstone etc like on the F80. Sadly, this is not one for me! White G80 M3 and G82 M4 + Other Hi-Res Images
If i could only retrofit the isle of man colour and those lovely carbon seats on my F82... I'd say thank you very much and goodbye to the new Gx.

The shapes and sizes regarding the front bumper vents look Audi-ish. Not only that, but I've always appreciated the sleek curve they've incorporated from the front fender to the taillight, a line that defined where the door handles should be. A staple aside from the kidney grilles. It's rather Benz bulky than Beamer sporty. |

Both from the same design house but clearly not twins. Over time I suspect the new G80 will win over fans. But for many it will be an acquired taste.

I think for me the only thing that bothers me so far without seeing it in person is that there's too much car in front of the front wheel.
It may just be the angles in pictures.

wdeerfield:I'd like to see the lower trim body color. Still can't get over the front but if that's the direction we're headed not much we can do. Curious if the standard 3er will get it in the next generation given the 4er already did
Not much we can do? I'm sure you don't have to buy one. It's funny if someone went to pick up their new vehicle and it had a tiny scratch on the door most people would get upset. They would want it fixed but driving around in an abomination is perfectly OK because there is not much we can do. |

See that's the problem, that's your opinion. And that's fine, but your ignoring the others and myself whom clearly are not budging on this. Just because you view it that way doesn't mean others view it that way. And whose to say a car with 500hp will burn tires? The f80 tuned, intake exhaust has over that and it doesn't burn it. Why would the new m3/m4?

M3 color tuning
Here is a color tuning for more concept like look:
-> Side-skirts in body color with "M-performance" side stickers (instead of gloss black) -> Front corner splitters in body color -> Air duct from Carbon fiber -pack, painted partly in body color. |

I dont hate it. I dont love it yet either. I do like the rear, the side and the interior, especially how the dash is curved away, it reminds me of my E46 a lot.
The front I have to see in person, without a plate.

if you need a manufacturer to help you stand out I'm not sure where your thinking lies. might as well put some racing stickers and a huge wing on it if you want to be noticed. |
