40k miles). There's an F90 thread on issues to look out for and outside of covering the oil cooler and monitoring for coolant leaks the platform is bulletproof stock. Its also true that most M5 Comp owners think the F90 CS isn't worth it (30-40k + price differential). The M3 Comp I built fully loaded was ~$115k (CCB's, etc) and the M3 CS will run ~$15k more including the dealer mark up. That's worth it... But I think the CCB decision is simple, long term keeper from new and no track - CCB's. Short term ownership and track - steel! Just my opinion. My F90 has CCBs and I absolutely love them. One of the main reasons I'll probably keep my 2020 M5C with CCB's alongside the M3 CS with steels. But you're right, its a personal choice. Guess I'll have to get used to steel brakes again...

No one has driven an M3 CS yet so we can only speculate if it’s worth a 15k premium. It probably will be though. |

If you can afford it, always go CCBs. I love them on my M2 CS and would be a required spec with future sports car purchases/orders (if available). That being said, they won’t make or break this car. It will still be exceptionally fast and fun.
Edit: tracking might be a good reason to skip them as someone pointed to above.

Im sure if they make them for the F series cars, it would only be a matter of time before they made them for the G8X. Hell, call and ask if you can sent them a rotor so they could get the offset correct. https://girodisc.com/bmw-f8x-m2-m3-m...-front-rotors/

Just had confirmation from my dealer that he’s specced my car with gold wheels and gold CCB.
Completely opposite what I told him to do 🤣 luckily cut off is end of today and he’s changed it to black and red like I wanted. |
