I saw a BG G80 in person yesterday and thought it looked pretty darn good. The only thing I really don't "get" is the black trim around the bottom of the body. I maybe sorta kinda get it for the rear bumper, although I still think it would look better with the outer pieces being body colored. The little winglets on the front bumper and the whole side skirt being black I just don't get at all. It makes the car look higher to me. I looked at it next to a black G82 where it obviously blends in a lot better and the car just looked wider and lower, minus the lack of rear arch you get on the sedan of course.

Really changes depending on the lighting and angle of the shot.

Big fan of this colour on the M3 with the 826 rims, Carbon pack & Tartufo Carbon interior = Great combo.

Saw Brooklyn Grey in person today for the first time and I think it sold me on the color. Darker in person than most photos lead to believe.

That was my exact build, except they were taking forever to give me a production date and it was on an indefinite hold (stuck in 111 status for weeks), so switched to a black interior and it immediately flipped to 112. Definitely prefer Tartufo, but don't want to wait an extra 3 months or something crazy. At that point I may as well get the AWD.

Official BROOKLYN GREY G80 M3 / G82 M4 Thread
It is hard to remember a more controversial introduction than the G8x has received. While press photos took people by surprise, including ourselves, we held our reservations until we saw it in person, keeping the faith that BMW's M division would deliver.
We were open to colors for both the exterior and interior, our only stipulations were for it to have four doors and three pedals. So when the chance to get a Brooklyn Grey over black, manual G80 popped up, we jumped on it. BG has a beautiful metallic flake that doesn't translate in photos. In person it really highlights and changes the tones depending on the lighting conditions. For the interior, as epic as the carbon buckets are, we have some ideas floating around in our heads and we would've felt bad removing them from the car, so nothing lost with the base ones (which are remarkably comfortable!) After about 150 very impressive miles, the first order of business is to rip some components out of it for R&D. We will be updating this thread with all of its progress. Thanks for checking in and stay tuned for more! |

Having a tough time finding pics of my spec .. can't wait for it to come here. Actually snagged it on transit ... BG over Silverstone, no extended shadow trim and 825 bi-color wheels. Has been drooling just thinking about it !

Funny, I wrote a similar post in post 58 above--still haven't seen it without extended shadowline. I think it'll look good!

I ordered BG over silverstone with the 824Ms. I won't be able to post any pictures until July, so likely something will show up before that.

Official BROOKLYN GREY G80 M3 / G82 M4 Thread
I just noticed that my base model M3 doesn’t have the optional 7M9 Extended Shadowline Trim. After digging through some paperwork, it appears that it was not specified on my order under the mistaken impression that 760 Shadowline Exterior Trim was the same thing. Looks like a simple mistake on both my dealer and myself. Live and learn.
