Also, you’re firmly mistaken to say the M4 outsells the M3 5:1. That is patently false, and likely reverse. Go to any BMW dealer and I guarantee the wait for a G80 allocation is far longer than a G82.

In terms of real numbers, call any large bmw dealership and you’ll realize the wait list for M3 orders is much longer than for M4 orders. |

Just look at the pics section on this forum…70-80% G80. Because there’s a much larger market and number of buyers for this model. Not sure what world you’re living in where you think any model with both a 2 door and 4 door model that the 2 door outsells the 4 door.

The M variants and the 911 variants are different. The M tweaks the engine map, damper/spring rates, adds a few carbon bits and call it a CS/CSL. 911 does substantially more - new engine, new body kit and new chassis (at least vastly different).
Both are for cash cow, but there is much more value in going up with the 911.

JRZ/MCS coils and a tune will easily make a civic drive better on a track than a CS. Please don’t make it seem like the CS isn’t mostly a bins part special. Sure, it’s more than the sum it’s parts. But there is no change to the drive train. It’s the equivalent of going from a 911 base to 911 GTS, at best.

It's not a leak, it's part of the regular upcoming models research done by ynguldyn .
Also, BMW has pretty much phased out laser (head-)lights, so I wonder whether that comment was a propos the bespoke M4 CSL laser taillights? Sounds like the M4 CS will get the regular M4 LCI head and tail lights to me, but maybe ynguldyn can clarify at some point. |

I can’t find the invidual model m sales as bmw groups all the 3 series models and 4 series models together for sales, but I guarantee that the G80 M3 is absolutely outselling the G82 M4. To say otherwise is to have little to no understanding of the market, the demand, and the buyer profiles. As for the G83, that model is not selling well. They are sitting at dealerships and you can get great deals on them. |

The 911 has what 5 different unique engines and something like 8 models. BMW just slaps cf parts and tweaks their ‘special’ cars. Porsche completely overhauls their models. BMW should have thrown different turbos or something on their S58. Instead they tweaked the maps and bumped the price significantly.

A few things I would like to see for the M4 CS, although I know these are probably not going to happen:
- Upgraded turbo - Laser tail lights - Factory adjustable coilovers - Stainless steel brake lines - Alcantara instead of leather for many surfaces - Carbon fiber instead of gloss black plastic in many places (like the air vent covers) |

Interesting. I remember a graphic a while ago that BMW put out. It talked about how they want to have a line up that was base, M performance, M, M Competition, M Competition Sport? (CS), and M Competition Sport Light? (CSL)
I think this generation 4 series the first one to have all of those trims? |
