I have my 2024 g80 coming in next month and the color is BSM. I want it to be shiny like I see in all of your amazing pics. Question is, PPF the entire car or just the grill and Ceramic the rest?
What is y’all opinions? Easy cleaning ? The car will be garaged and driven on weekends when it’s nice outside and ofcourse the occasional road trip.
Really would like the community help.

I did PPF full front on my BSM. It really depends if you are hand washing or not. PPF full car will absolutely preserve it - but it’s a lot of $. If you remove the dealer-installed PPF on the rear fender high impact area make sure to install the thickest you can and cover that whole panel. On my tanzanite I covered the full front (including A pillars), front fenders, mirror caps, rockers, bottom of doors and rear front-facing fenders. This color is soft and I kind of wished I covered the whole car, but c’est la vie. I’ll have to do some paint correction if possible and professional detailing. My cost was $3700 including full ceramic IIRC. Full PPF is closer to $7k incl. ceramic - if not more. On our BSM X7 I didn’t do anything and it looks pretty good - I hand wash it as well very carefully. We have a couple rock chips in the front but I’d rather pay to have those corrected than replace PPF, and it’s the family car so it’s going to be banged up over time anyway. Ceramic helps as well for easier cleaning - blow drying is better. But again on the X7 I don’t have it and it looks good. Might just need a wax every once in a while.

I don’t know. Haha. I thought the same thing. Didn’t mess with a filter- well I did, to try and remove the blue, and it didn’t work. It is a overcast day- and the office is all tinted glass? Maybe?
