The Vredestein's really get great reviews and are competitively priced.

Not sure why the 826M bi-colors are $300 more per wheel than the black.
Black wheels are easy to make. Just paint them. The bicolors have to be machined.

A number of G8X owners have been reaching out to us directly about winter fitment options recently and a few mentioned this thread as a great resource. Here are some shots of our Flow Formed 19x9.5 ET25 SM-10s on a G82 M4 run as a winter setup.

This Flow Formed wheel design is a great affordable option for owners looking to run a square rotatable fitment with a variety of winter tire options including 265/35-19 and 275/35-19 sizes.

The rear fitment is not flush in the rear but the inset wheels provide plenty of protection against winter road spray. Owners looking for a flush aesthetic can also run our 5x112mm spacers in the rear which will push the rear wheels out without the compromise of running a non-rotatable fitment. Our VS-5RS is also available in the same width and offset or alternatively, a 19x10 ET12 wheel can be run square as a wider setup with all seasons.

Wheels: 19x9.5 ET25 Front and Rear.
No Spacers

Tires: Bridgestone Blizzaks, 265/35-19 Front & Rear

Wow. They really have jacked up the price. I think I paid like $220 for 4 with shipping like 2 months back

There’s honestly no reason to get the $70 TPMS when the $35 one will do the same thing.

Do u need to program the non OEM ones with the propriety device ? I know of one thats sold at amazon that requires u to purchase their programming kit for like $200 !!! It was $48 when I bought mine and the non OEM ones were like $35. So it wasnt a huge difference but at $70 id think twice. I think costco will install and program TPMS bought from them and they r like $20

Looks good! Are those the OEM wheels that came with the car? 19/20? Dedicated set or do you swap tires?

I was on the fence and considered buying a winter set of the 19/20, but once I started looking for tires to fit the rear 20's, I couldn't find any that were available. That made me reluctant enough that I bought a square set of the 826M 19x9.5's.

They should be here on the 28th (hopefully).

Yes, those r the OEM 826M 19/20. I was in the same position too but wanted a AS or winter to fit the OEM wheels before I drove back from PCD. Looked at a lot of combinations but decided to stick with the AS tires as I have the X3 with winters if its bad out there. Initially ordered the Michelins but wanted to take a chance on the Conti and they have been great in wet and snow so far. Will use my summers on mu 827 wheels I got from paddleshifterz.

Based on the paperwork I got back, I’m even more confused. It looks like they had to rebalance because the original balance was off? Is this how the alignment got off? Why am I paying for this out of pocket? Why are there notes on the alignment asking for the summer setup?

I was told that I just had to pay this and all was perfect on the car going forward. Overall, not a great experience so far, but at least I have an 84 month warranty on the interior leather and exterior ceramic coat!
Wheel alignments aren't coverage as a warranty issue, especially if your not running factory gear.

With that hitting a pothole or a tire/rim outside of spec can cause the alignment to adjust.

So if your rims/tires are off weight it can cause a shake at speed- sometimes a tire/rim isn't round or equally weighted in the circle. Thus they add weight to the rims to counter. Your running different rim too?

With that is the problem fixed?

What they have written makes sense.

After the alignment & rebalance the car feels better so I believe the problem is fixed. I still don’t trust the shop after they made me pay for their mistake, but that will just prevent me from going there again.

My setup I posted was perfect, but the shop I took it to messed up and didn’t own up to it

Yeah a good mount and balance is key...if you go somewhere ask if they do road force and if they have the equipment it's a good sign.

It happens....

G80 M3 Winter Setup

After much research, I went with a square setup as follows: Apex SM-10's in 9.5 x 19 ET 25 with 265/35-19 Pirelli P-Zero Winter Alpina's. I have not yet tried the tires in snow or ice (as we haven't had any yet in my area), but in cold dry and wet conditions, they are very good. The wheel setup without spacers sits 18mm inboard in the rear and 5mm inboard in the front vs stock. That was a little dorky looking for me, and I ideally wanted to get a set of spacers that would work well in summer, too, so I compromised and went with what I found would give me a flush fit in summer, which is 15mm rear and 12mm front. Spacers and bolts also purchased from Apex. So the winters still sit a bit more inboard than I would like aesthetically, but it's acceptable and it provides the car with a little bit of protection from salt and sand in winter driving. I've attached pics of both for reference. Many thanks to Tom Maloney at Apex for numerous emails on this topic and very helpful support and advice. The first 2 pics are before, second 2 are after spacers.

Michelin Pilot Alpin 5’s 275/35/19 on LaForge Industries wheels. 9.5” wide et10. Currently running 5mm spacers out front and will be running 18mm out back for a flush look. My winters aren’t so bad so I can enjoy a flush setup.

Lowered on KW HAS too.

Looking for some advice here.

My tire guy (who has done 5 previous sets for me) is suggesting that following set up:
Hakkapaliitta 9s non studded 245/40R19
Braelin 19 x 9.5 (picture below)
BMW OEM Sensors

I see that most people seem to have 275/35R19. As far as I can tell this means that mine will be narrower and a little more sidewall? Does this setup seem reasonable? I live in Ottawa with fairly good snowfall (about 70 inches per winter) and will appreciate a little better snow/ice grip over the greatest handling in the world. He tells me he's done a few M3/M4s like this already and my previous set ups (Hakka's on an RS5) were spectacular for a powerful AWD car.

I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but before pulling the trigger I would appreciate getting your thoughts. Trying to get 275/35/19 here in Ottawa has been nearly impossible, unless I go with the OEM BMW Package which will run me $2500 more.

It's going to work but don't expect handling any close to your summer setup, traction of snow and ice would be outstanding tough.

Thank you, I think I convinced him to go with the Michelin Alpin 5s 275/35/19. I want to be safe, but I want to maintain a little bit of the excellent handling given they go on in November and take them off in March.

I think you won't be disappointed, these are really excellent tires ! It's fun still having good performance when the roads have nothing on them.
