The M8 was a sales nightmare, and grossly overpriced. It is certainly a terrible benchmark in this case. Even when I went in to checkout a new G80 on the showroom floor, the CA mentioned multiple times on how heavily discounted the M8 was there as well. Absolutely deseperate.

20K off. In that area for each. So 20K off of 150K still puts the car absurdly out of range compared to the M3/M4. Again what lack of logic? The M8 was a disaster. My i8 is also 150k and I pay $1230. My M6 was $130K and I paid $1300. So like I said the M3/M4 leases are a disgrace. M8 12K mile residual is 52%. |

2020 BMW M8 Gran Coupe
MSRP: $140,195 Selling Price: $116,112 (16.8% off) additional $3K is included in taxed incentive in calculator. Ultimately this is a 19% off net deal. Monthly Payment: $1,324 Drive-Off Amount: $13,500 (Max MSD of $9,450) Months: 36 Annual Mileage:7,500 MF:.00087 (bumped up 40 basis points) Residual:54% Incentives:$3,000 this is an example of how a $140k M8 leases for ~1300 /month. Monster discount, incentives, $13K up front including max MSD, ultra low mileage, etc.. In no way is that comparable to a typical lease that is getting quoted here on a g80. |

The lack of logic is viewing this from 30,000 ft and just assessing the MSRP/Sale price of the car, and calling it quits from there.

There were no incentives on M6GC I got it when the GC just came out. My buddy drives a 2door AMG GT for $1500. None of these cars are anywhere even remotely in the ballpark of the m3/M4. We aren't talking $5000 -$7000 difference in car. We are $50-$80,000 difference. Go by the 1% rule as close as you can. The M3/M4 blows that to smithereens. The rest of those cars maintain it. |

I got a deal done on a very well optioned car in NY at MSRP. They asked for over MSRP and I said absolutely not. They called me back the next day. I didn't really want to push them on much of a discount having read the stories of over MSRP being asked and knowing the spec on the car would be in demand. I didn't want to loose out on the car and then spend ages searching for one all over
Haven't finalised the details on the lease or finance yet though so the devil will be in the detail I'm sure |

I called the closest dealer that wasn't in the city, asked if they had an allocation. They had one left. I told them I wasn't going to buy if it wasn't at MSRP. They sent the paperwork over, I haggled down the MF, and finalized the contracts. I'm beginning to think I got super lucky. |

With that being said BMW missed the mark on the M8. It's good looking but it's not $150k - $200k car good looking. It needs to be $30k cheaper and that's where it's selling. Losing BMW money and bumping up against the M4. Which pretty much means it has no business existing at all. Last edited by OSee; 05-01-2021 at 08:22 PM.. |

Most LeaseHacker brokers were backed up and stopped taking M3/M4 orders as of last week. Things may have changed now. They were getting 3%-5% on the M3 and 7%-10% on the M4. Midwest and Florida cars so you'd have to pick up and/or ship. If you're in the Midwest or on the East Coast (or OK with paying MSRP on the West Coast) I would just start spamming dealers within whatever distance you're willing to drive. Use this tool https://carfindr.co/ Keep in mind that cars that are already sold will occasionally show up in that search because of the way Dealer Management Systems work with inventory and listing sites. |

There is a nice Black on Black in Manhattan BMW for a while. I'd say there is a deal to be made there on that car. The opening offer from them was $1100 a month on a 36 month / 10k lease but I'd say it can be had for less with discounts and negotiation |

now I have this I won't disclose the deal people will laugh and believe it 165k car under 1100 a month with taxes upfront only. Like the above few gents stating m8 beautiful car ballistic missile GT but not at 165k Bmw realized it and they rolled out 2022 models only as comp models one can be had for 140k but your payments will be 1500 + with taxes and fees upfront which is 4-6k up front. I need the m3comp as a daily . No way in hell I'm paying 1200 a month MSRP for a 82k car. Right now everything is inflated American pick up trucks trx's f'in dodge trucks with MSRP of 100k + are going over sticker . Cadillacs are going over MSRP . Toyota FIn tundras are going over MSRP . INFLATION!!! 12-15 months from now m3 prices will be 750 a month with taxes and fees on 75k cars.

No way am I leasing a G8X car at $1200 per month. You can get into a 992.2 for that kind of money if you keep the options to a minimum.

Not saying this car is worth $1200 a month but it's not difficult to beat that. I'm at $900 with $1500 DAS on $83k.

Do you even get FM radio and power windows if you don't add some options on a Porsche? Heck, do you even get a window?

Be sure to read the contract when you go to sign. I told my CA that I wanted to sign my deal by the end of April just in case the financing rate went back up from the 0.9%/5 years they were offering. The finance guy printed and handed my contract for me to sign and suddenly it was a 6 year loan at 2.9%. Not sure if this was an intentional or accidental change. The finance guy, who I think was already frustrated because I turned down all of his offers (paint protection, etc), acted like he had never even heard of the 0.9% and had to check the website. Maybe he hadn't, who knows. I got him to fix it and didn't make a big deal out of it, but be sure to make sure your contract says what you had agreed on.
