If you wait until Sept/Oct that is probably your best bet broker or no broker. I just traded in my i8 lease and am currently borrowing a family members X2 for the time being (yikes).

I still am inclined to wait on principal it's very hard for me to stomach $200 more a month for a 52K less car (i8) or $150 more a month for a 32K less car (My M6).

In March I was offered a 150K Competition M8 for $1299. Declined hate black on black.

Leasing this car sucks I may just buy it.
Well, residuals are low/crappy and the MF is high so leases are going to not make much fiscal sense...unless car ends up holding value well and you plan on buying at lease end to take advantage of the low residual.
Will be interesting to see how values hold up. At the moment in NorCal 2018 M3s with ~30k miles are pushing $60k, which seems nuts.

That's why I bought a G80 instead of a used F80 as the prices have been insane for almost a year now on the F80.

My manual 17 M3 sold for about $54K when it was 3 years old with 28K miles.

For anyone looking to sell an F8X prices are definitely still inching up. I got what I consider a pretty good trade-in deal on my 2015 F82 with just under 42K miles. Thousands more than the offers I got a year ago. The dealer only marked it up less than $3K and it looks like it's already re-sold.

I wonder if that's a statement on the G80 or the overall demand for these cars. It would seem that either the previous gen needs to start coming down a lot, or current gen would stay very very high, both of which would be unusual. Suspect it's something of a temporary blip

I'm going to keep looking for a dealer that might do 5% off. Either way I'm thinking BMW Select (~37.5% balloon payment at the end) is the best option as 0.9% is a low rate and BMW Select keeps the payments low.

Anyone have any pricing for individual colors? Best I've heard is 5k for metallic and 7500 for frozen, but then the monthly payment I received from the dealer for frozen the math worked out to be 11k
Did you get a quote on Select? I've had really good luck with Select.

Downsides of balloon are that sales tax on full vehicle is due at inception even though you might only have the car a few years (no further tax due tho if you buy at term end)...and interest rates are usually much higher than what are offered for financing.

It appears used car prices are up in general. I have a much better offer on my 335i from Carvana than what my recommended private sale price was a year ago, and I tried with my wife's Ford Edge too and got a better deal than what we were offered 2.5 years ago for trading it in. I know this is not technical enough to be considered evidence but that's my experience

They are in general, I have a signed agreement with my dealer on fixed bottom price for my M2 until the 1st of August that is 6k more than they would have offered me a year ago. If the values continue to rise they will give me market price witch could be 8 or 10k more.

If I were to buy a car in stock now it was 8.5k over last year. Since I also got 9.4k off my M2 in 2018 I could not let this pass, my cost of ownership will be way lower than what is was supposed to.

The entire car market is booming right now; used and new. Even 'normal' cars are demanding a premium, mostly because no one wants to be sardines on public transport come the end of the year is my guess.

My dealer that I've got an x5m on order with just told me they'll do 3% off M3 base and M4 comp. They are June builds likely to switch to May if they have owners.

Seems fair in this market. They said good until Friday because they will swap the allocations for something else (probably x7 those are very hot right now).

Let me know if you want my CA info.

What dealer did you work with to get M8 for 1,267 / mo w/ 1,760 down? If that's real, I have business for them.

There were huge discounts on the M8 previously, well over 20%. That lease number would not have been hard to hit, but not sure about current incentives.

Yeah those deals were easy to get in late 2020.

Stuff like this was sitting for months and massively discounted. I needed a new daily and was considering the F80 M3 but when I saw the spyshots of the grille it was game over for me and started searching for something comparably priced. Found it at San Diego BMW. All the M8 coupes are now pretty much now gone. Might get one but it will be a non-desirable spec.

Yup. I searched hard for one late last year-ish but couldn't find anything I liked. Just when I found an exterior color I thought I liked I'd see the inside and wonder what whoever ordered it was thinking. Or same with the wheels or some other part of the car.

M5's are plentiful and a buddy picked up a 2021 donington/black same color scheme as my M8 for around $1,000 a month plus California taxes so got the total lease payment around $1,100 for 10k miles with nothing down. This was 6 months ago as well.

So like my M8, his M5 is not a comp model because dealers weren't discounting those as much.

Very cool and congratulations! I don't think this is a repeatable deal so really hard to compare against a car that is readily available and currently inflated.

I got offered M8s for:

$1299
$1323
$1380
$1421

All Competitions. All over $150K.

There are forum members countless that got M8s 155K+ for in 12-13s. To say this M3/M4 leasing is disgraceful is an understatement.

You're comparing a car with insane discounts to a new model with few, if any, discounts.

Those numbers would have more weight if you actually broke the leases down so we could understand the residual and MF and so forth.
