That’s kind of nice that the navigation shows up on the front instrument cluster!

Yep, that's definitely one thing i'm looking forward to. I currently hate not having it show up on iDrive 7 when using maps via Apple CarPlay.

Only thing that sucks is it is locked to phone type.

iPhone - only Apple Maps shows up in cluster

Android - only Google Maps shows up in cluster

Interesting, didn't know that. Do we know how it responds to Waze on iPhone?

I've used Waze many years ago before getting into a BMW, then broke off because of the issue with it not showing in the driver cluster. Was hoping to start using Waze again over both Apple/Google Maps.

Nowadays i've gotten used to using BMW's Nav, but feel like it doesn't give you enough warning regarding speed cams etc, even with the added feature you can buy from their store.

AFAIK, Waze doesn't work on the cluster, it is either Apple Maps or Google Maps, based on your phone. 99.99% sure this is because of the phone, not BMW, they are the ones who are locking it down.

The exact day I took delivery they tore up 3 of the main roads by my house. I was thinking the same but the stress I felt with all the rocks on the road pushed me over the edge.

Feel you. I’m driving from PDC in SC to Central NJ. I’m bringing track wrap and likely the front mud guards via IND (super quick delivery). Thinking matte wrap would epic.

I love the matte look. I have dravit which I feel would just dull it down so clear was my only option imo

Thanks! Almost there. Car is finally at the Brunswick port in Georgia. I anticipate getting a call from PCD to schedule the pickup in the next week.

Checking in from the week 32 thread, I also am expecting a call from PC for delivery dates within the next week, I'm on the IGUAZU HIGHWAY currently waiting of the coast of Brunswick for a spot at the port.. About three of us over on the week 32 thread are doing PCD.. Lets all collab to do delivery on the same day!! 😂

Here is something I am doing, that you might want to consider. The same day I take PCD, I am driving my car to Extreme Auto Spa (EAS), and having them install the cross country package, which only takes one full day to install. They do wrap work and ceramic coating for the PC. As the wrap is being installed, I have registered to do a New Owners Track Day (NOTD) at the PC. The NOTD is run on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and it is booked through the Performance Driving School, not the folks that handle PCD. When that is done, then I pick up my car from EAS. The following morning I am taking my car to Century BMW, the local dealership in the Spartanburg/Greenville area, and have my radar detector hardwired to my car's overhead interior lights. Then I start my road trip back to NYC. This way you don't have to bring the wrap with you, have a day extra day of track time, and get a professional wrap job.

That sounds like a great plan, which I too would enjoy. However, I’m going with my wife…more car stuff than PCD isn’t on the list.

Update: Called the Extreme Auto Spa and talked to them about PPF: full front, rocker panels, rear bumper and door cups. The price was pretty good. They said they do a discount if you are a BMW CCA member. I just signed up. Very seriously thinking of getting all the PPF done there on the spot. Downside…if something happens with PPF down the road, getting warranty service would be not possible…however, I’m sure that they would be reasonable.

Asked the same question. Was told that the film that they use, Xpel, has the warranty, so it can be taken care of by any Xpel shop in the country.
