I actually like the silver tips with your color car as it contrasts well against the diffuser and compliments your white paint.
Thank you, sir. I'll make a proper video once I get the valve controller springs. Will add some drive by footage as well. On the fence with the chrome tips.

I know you were one of the first to jump onboard with the Remus setup so curious if you feel as though it was worth it so far.
I originally had the exhaust setup as an axle back since the midpipes I got were suspect to me. They had OPF written on them and I thought they shipped out the wrong pipes. In axle back configuration the exhaust sounded very similar to stock. I would not recommend this configuration unless you're pairing it with another midpipe.

With my current setup the exhaust sounds very good. I'm using their full exhaust with the stock cats. It is neighborhood friendly. The cold start isn't obnoxious. I'm am pleased, but I want it a bit louder therefore I'm going to replace the cats with straight pipes. Right now it's no where near as loud as Shmee's video.

Despite the exhaust now being louder I don't hear it as much from the inside while driving. I disabled the fake sound pumping from the speakers to see if it was more noticeable and it barely made a difference of the exhaust noise coming in the cabin. Looks like BMW did a really good job with the sound deadening. I'll post some more videos once I have the cats replaced.
I see. I got the cat back race version but had/have zero plans of any other mods. Hopefully it won't be a let down.

Overall though with the valve controller, the exhaust, and the Eventuri intake I'm just hoping for an increase in aural pleasure but nothing too crazy.

I know the MPE or Akra would also have added an extra bit of sound as well but given the cost I just couldn't pull the trigger on those given that Remus is at least half the cost of those two.

I think you'll be very pleased. The exhaust sounds awesome with no rasp. It's exactly what I was looking for.

Not sure if this is a placebo effect but the intake seems much louder. The combination of the intake and exhaust is like a symphony.

I'm curious as to how the eventuri intake will sound with their closed design.

Hello.
Would you be able to share your thoughts how it sounds under load, going up the rev range and hard acceleration? My thoughts were that apart from the bass, the rest of the sound was too oem like. And I had a vt midpipe as well. Completely agree with you regarding the sound deadening. You barely hear anything coming from outside.

I haven't tested it under load yet. Will try it out today and report back.

Folks, sorry but I am still trying to understand the difference(s) between the Standard (sport) and Race other than the exhaust note - Race is louder and more rasp? Anything else?
I want enhance the current (OEM) exhaust note, noticeable but not deafening. Also, if I would pocket out close to $5k with install, I want something that actually sounds different (in a good way) not just merely a subtle deeper note...
I think most of you here are going with the Race version? I do have a custom X-pipe installed and resonators removed.

Have you watched the video I posted on the previous page of the Race version? It's louder but no rasp. I have Remus' Race axle back exhaust and their midpipes (which deletes the resonators only).

Since you have custom x-pipe installed and resonators removed, I would recommend the axle back. With exhaust and install it should not cost you $5k. Maybe $4k.

I don't know anyone here who have ordered the sport exhaust. I wouldn't want to be the first without listening to it.

Sweet. Post some sound clips once you get it installed.

Which setup are you going with, axle back or full Remus with stock cats?

Will do. I got the sport axleback and AA single midpipe, stock cats for now… catless in the near future though

The race axle back will easily fit inside the G80 with the rear seats down.

Picture with a near 10 month old baby that's in the 17th percentile in weight for reference.

Nice. Curious to see how that would sound.

I'm having my chrome tips powdercoated gloss black today and tomorrow I'll have the cats deleted. Can't wait!

Thanks... I think Race is what I am going with...
I just checked, the going price for the Race axle back with CF tips is around $4,300's + shipping, and installation is around another $400, so it will be around $5k no?

Talk to Mike from xtreme power house, he'll give you a deal. I went to his site and applied a 5% discount code and the axle back came down to $3900 with carbon tips. Shipping is free.

You can contact Ben, his username is r33_RGSport in the forums. He gave me a really good deal. The best out of all of them. Got nothing to lose.

Springs were not included, your original EVC valves/springs are used.

When I received my system, I was told that the original springs from oem valve mechanism would be used. That was not the case because there is no way the stock springs can be removed without damaging. I hope to be corrected on this. Remus then sent me the actual springs that were meant to be used with their system. Pic is below. Maybe someone can fashion them out of a piece of wire but kind of a difficult job.

Haven't disassembled EVC on the G8x yet, but we'll see when we install the system.

Customer should be getting his M4 in a few days after VPC and we'll see it after PPF/Ceramic. We'll probably remove a EVC and test fit beforehand just to be sure.
