It makes sense if you’re trying to win a WDC.

Why is this so hard for people to understand?

If it was one race, then I can see not giving space, however winning a race vs. the WDC are two completely different things.

Ham had nothing to lose, whereas Max had lots to lose…to win a WDC you need to score points in as many races as possible.

Before the race:
Max - 185 points
Ham - 152 points

Let’s say Max was smart, patient or calculated instead of going in elbows out, goes wide and Ham takes over the lead on the first lap of 52. He has 51 laps to take over the lead in the fastest car “with all his racecraft”. For whatever reason he can’t get by Ham in 51 laps and finishes 2nd.

After the race:
Max - 203 points
Ham - 177 points

Or he does pass Ham in 51 laps and finishes 1st:
Max - 210 points
Ham - 170 points

Now do you see the logic of Max letting off, giving up the lead in a race and playing the long game?

Instead he has a slim lead, RB crew has a fun week ahead building a new car, Marko and Horner cry about everything instead of talking to their star driver about driving smart to win the WDC.

Its the only way...I stopped even checking this forum a couple races ago after opening up the race thread and finding pages and pages of nonsense from these clowns. If it was just support for their driver then no problem but the total BS that they come out with is on the edge of sanity.

Just show your post at the "Orange Legion" in your Orange country . They really can help you further with finding the right words ...

Your video shows what ?
That MAX was for a sec. airborn ,and flew with 300 km/h over the gravel an hits the wall with 51 G !
Yeah mate , your video is really a fantastic spectacle !
Don't scream too loud . Maybe Hammy is next to meet the wall ...
But he already kissed the wall at Imola ! At that time I really missed you Sir7Hammy-gurus !

13 races are left <=> 13 times WW III

I'll post something else for you from his ex-teammate RIC .
Period !!!
l]
Have you ever been to a GP at all? Well I think you should! You will find out there is actually a great camaraderie between race fans. Hamilton fans sit next to Vettel fans and everyone respects all drivers. No one is talking about shit like army and WWIII. This is racing, not football or NFL!

And just because I'm Dutch it doesn't mean I can't be critical towards Max. As I've said, he had it coming. At the same time time I think the incident was Hamilton's fault but that's just my irrelevant opinion (most experts think race incident). Getting physical in Copse is extremely dangerous anyway so that's why I posted the YT video that shows the heavy impact. If you think I showed the video out of Schadenfreude you completely missed the point.

And believe it or not, I actually would love to see Max win the WDC! But to win a WDC you need a bit of the Prost approach. Lewis learned this through the years and ultimately his style became the perfect blend of Senna and Prost.

Great analysis. To win the WDC you need to be cool and calculated - Alain Prost style!

With such a large crowd present in the end mostly the cheering was that for Max is okay climbing out of the car.

"RB crew has a fun week ahead building a new car" ?
That's just insane from your side !
Yeah BS is a language as well..

It's between $750,000 and one (1) 'Million Dollar , to repair MAX's car !

Yeah that's really fun mate , you never heard of the new regulations regarding the '2021 F1 budget cap !!!

Formula1.com
Masi: “Looking at the incident, I agree with the stewards and the penalty they applied. One of the big parts [of stewarding] that has been a mainstay for many, many years [is] that you should not consider the consequences in an incident".

The stewards’ verdict deemed that Hamilton had been ‘predominantly’, rather than ‘wholly’, at fault in the incident.

Analysis: Palmer & Albon examine Hamilton & Verstappen's Silverstone collision
“So when you judge incidents, they judge the incident itself, the merits of the incident and not what happens after as a consequence, and that’s been something the stewards have done for many years and have been advised to do from the top down – and I’m talking team involvement and so forth. That’s the way the stewards judge it, because if you start taking consequences into it, there are so many variables rather than judging the incident itself.”

Myself I think that if it had been any other two drivers having the same first lap incident it would have been deemed a racing incident but there was massive pressure on the stewards to give some sort of penalty so they went with a soft 10secs penalty rather than a 10 second stop and go.

I know my friend . After the crash Jos saw "Wolff's Blitzkrieg" with the Marshals !
While Jos witnessed it , Jos deleted Wolff's number from his smartphone ..

I'm 100% sure Wolff's "honey talking" is over now !
