I gotta wonder how uncomfortable they are for daily driving compared to the Comp/CS seats...I plan on tracking the G80 a fair amount.

I really love my 6MT xdrive and was already sad that I'll never be able to get another one outside of a 911, but i'll settle for a 1-2year old G82 6MT in RWD at a huge discount since based off of the comments the dealers are going to have a hell of a time moving inventory |

my local dealer just sold their first allocation for $5k over sticker (and sticker isn't even defined yet). Time will tell my friend.

Besides the outlandish grill why did BMW have to add those mini hood scoops. I think it would of been cleaner nicer to have left that alone and perhaps continued the line from the grill throughout the hood. They should of left the signature power dome though.

I haven't gotten to the end yet to see if he's posted, but I will say that another long time forum member tried to post here and received a message stating 'Your message was not sent. You do not have permission to post in this thread', but YMMV I guess.....
If the car was a winner, any forum dissent wouldn't need to be invisibly suppressed.

I'm completely OK with the rest of the changes, even the admittedly odd looking grill. I found that the f series grills seemed a bit too small. I'm digging the 8 series or m2c grills more than these It also seems that the rear windshield on the 4 has less of a transition to the trunk than the f series. This has more of a fastback look like the 370z. Could do without that too... I'm due for an upgrade soon and 6MT is the deciding factor for me above all else so even with the weird design cues it looks like this car will be it, especially since this might be the last 3- or 4-series to have one |

Man those door lines are ugly, does not flow with the aggressive body at all. Muscular arms and ass with a fat belly.
Fenders and ass looks good. Grilles remain to be the ugliest things I've ever seen, and the bumper design is pretty ugly too like the OG M2. Big teeth with un-angled lines. Yikes. |

I just saw both cars at IMSA this past weekend as the culmination of a M track day...these are pretty much the exact cars on display. I didnt read everything above but here is what I got (sorry if this is duplicate info):
-these are comp spec, those are comp wheel choices (20in rear, 19in front) -the side sills everyone seemed to hate are actually carbon fiber as part of a carbon fiber package along with splitter and rear diffuser -green looks way more "kelly" than "hunter" and the yellow is highlighter "look at me" yellow -console/infotainment looked to me taken straight out of the M8/M5 -seats looked very comfy in the m3 - those wild m4 seats didnt look like something for a road trip...the carbon insert near your crotch is meant to keep you planted in the seat but i suspect a piece could be removed for a harness strap -they showed us the cars without license plates and it is a lot better without them -the m3 we saw had a very big ugly sensor off-centered in the right side front grill but i was told that is an option that you dont have to spec, along with the park distance control sensors HOWEVER the guy seemed to think that hideous black sensor below the roundel between the grills is always there (i hope he was mistaken - I am not a big "sensor" guy on the car). -mid hood backwards, i honestly think it looks like the f80 - the pics do not do the hips justice -i am still a "buyer" at least for the manual RWD version if I can spec it with no unnecessary tech but we also did autocross with an M2 and I am secretly in love... |

Hate to be that guy, and not a fan of the new M4, but unless you are buying and not leasing it's not a little stretch to get a 911. If you are someone who leases, the M4 will likely be $700-1000 cheaper a month to lease for more miles like it is now.

IMHO CSL Hommage Style grill would have worked. Stays true, Modern enough, and probably "less" offensive to most design wise.

There was some chatter about them a few weeks ago on a mule and word seemed to be from those in know that they were not for USA (and some other) market cars but due to some country specific regulations. Curious if this will hold true. The M3 the press drove in camo did not have them We have no idea which press packet these photos leaked from. |

I saw the M440i in person a few days ago and noticed the back half of the profile reminded me a lot of the GTR and these pictures of the M4 make it look even more similar. BTW, the front end of the 440i looks way better in person.

I agree. It not only looks just like some M Performance parts, it makes the car looks like it sits higher, especially with lighter exterior colors (like the M4 here). Not a fan of it.

yeah but its not BIG Enough, remember thats BMW design language now super size grill or nothing... I am all for change, but tasteful change, not ruining the front end of your cars (7 series, 4 series, M3/M4)
