Kicking around 10C (50F) with a steady 30kph wind. If it wasn't for the wind it would be perfect jacket-less weather.

Still no snow in the forecast but at least next week will see freezing temperatures again.

It's 55 F and cloudy here just after noon. Trying to work up the motivation to head out to the getting mightier Freightliner and do some body repair on the roof where the previous owner butchered a backup camera install.....

Feeling sorry for my friends in Nova Scotia. They are still digging out from the last one and this storm is heading right at them.

Funny story. Late yesterday afternoon, the NWS and computer models showed this storm making an unexpected turn to the south. They didn't drop the winter storm warnings (local criteria is expected 6+ inches of snow), but they lowered our expected snowfall from 8-12 inches down to 2-5 inches.

Long story short, this is what "2-5 inches" looks like at Chez Vreihen as the storm wrapped up around noon:

Yup, 13 inches of the white crap! It even clogged up both of my mechanical anemometers, as well as one of the ultrasonic anemometers.....

I'm pretty well stocked. Thanx for thinking of me. The snow started just after 5pm and there's already over an inch of snow on the deck railing. It's 6:10pm. That's making snow fast.

Yep, they're almost exactly the same. I'm holding out for some Bumbu XO. It sells out fast here and takes a while to get replenished. I may have to take a trip to Moncton to pick some up. NB Liquor is showing some in stock. I'll be passing through in a couple of weeks. Hopefully there'll still be some on the shelf.
