There are 2 versions 3.5 and 4”

They removed the 4 inch from their site some customers were having some issues as they try to resolve it.

So the 4” is just temporarily unavailable from what I heard

I've read that the issue was with the valve controller. I don't know why a 4" single valve vs a 3.5" would make a difference though.

Now I wonder...

If in terms of air flow it would be better to get the modular midpipe and an axle back instead of the full 3.5"

Why the 4" was discontinued, I'm not sure...but I heard the issue some customers are having is exhaust valve rattle.

The reason I am debating selling it is because I am REALLY intrigued by the new Valvetronics HFD sound.

Exhaust valve rattle doesnt sound like something to discontinue a.product instead of a quick redesign

HFD sounds insane but it has some noticeable big rasp to it which I dont like.

Yeah, agreed - again, I'm not saying that is WHY they are discontinuing it, but just noting that is one of the issues I heard some customers are having right now.

I am waiting to hear the HFD with the 400 CEL DP video and then I'll make a decision on the route I want to go. I am thinking that will eliminate a lot of the rasp.

Have you heard a setup that sounds good but doesn't sound raspy?

I'm not a fan of rasp personally, but the best sounding setups I've heard so far seem to lean toward the raspy side. To me, this does not sound particularly raspy, but also not quite as exciting as the V2 mid non-resonated with catback he had on his car previously. Of course he also has downpipes so hard to say what can be attributed to what.

To me the best setups sounds best with 2 of the 3 exhaust components being changed but not all 3. Im just not a fan but to each it's own.

Ive tried to look for vids with the 3.5" modular but I guess no one has made one yet.

Would like to hear soundclips and a dyno would be perfect
