Oh I see. Ya I'm all good on that front. Just looking for events to go to before my M3 is here. So I can check out some exhaust mods in person.

Had a similar set up, got rid of axelback. Couldn’t handle the drone at 1.5k-2k rpms.

In my opinion, if you want zero drone, dont change all three parts (downpipes, midpipe, and axle back).

For the cleanest sound, you should keep one of them stock

only change all three if you do 2/3 and you still want a more aggressive sound

AA Gesi dps, AA single resonated mid, AA axelback.

I enjoy my current set up. When I want more sound, I use my SST valve controller and set it to 25%.

I get mixed feedback on them but honestly I need to hear SS and Titanium in person to decide what I'll do. I know the M3 is no M8 sound wise but sound is half the reason I bought this over a Lucid. The other half if the aftermarket support and community. It's very easy to tune, upgrade and get 2.5 second 0-60mph times.

Not necessary true. All of the CS cars with the titanium OEM axleback sound incredible.

IRL is working on a titanium axleback that will be different than competitor offerings. They design everything in house unlike the typical China drop ship / white label.

I hope your right bud. Only set up that doesn’t make me cringe is Catted DP/ Mandingo mid. Stock rear. I have the full Akro on my F-82 and it was horrendous for years until I put a AA EQ mid on it. It by no means sounds good but it’s not ear bleeding now

Yea I’ve got your same setup currently. AA catted and Milltek Single mid.

I have confidence a well-executed Titanium axleback will sound good with this setup.

I used to think the same, but I used a titanium exhaust for a while, and surprisingly, it sounded the same as the stainless steel, just a lot lighter.

I now went back to stainless steel, and i can confirm no noticeable difference between the 2

LOL, that’s one way to look at it! In my opinion, it sounds amazing either way.

That said, if you’re not planning to track the car, there’s really no need to go for titanium.

if you do track your car, the weight difference compared to stainless steel is significant.

That’s interesting to hear. The CS axleback sounds noticeably different compared to a normal G8x.

Those OEM titanium axlebacks are built different 😂

I was surprised too! I always expected there to be a big difference between titanium and stainless steel. Titanium was supposed to have a higher-pitched tone, but to my surprise, I didn’t notice much of a difference, and I’m definitely not complaining

Muffler designs are different which makes most of the difference you hear.
